We just got some feedback from our beta readers, as usual, it was constructive and insightful. Thanks beta readers.

Hi Joanne,

I hope it's not too late to answer this question. I think Beta Readers are right! They should be called Androids instead, although calling them robots wouldn't be technically wrong, because Androids are advanced version of Robots.

The difference between Robots and Androids is similar to the difference between a normal cellphone and a smartphone. Even the machines used in industries--like CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machines--are robots. Those machines aren't capable of making their own decisions. Nor do they have a survival instinct! The readers of Sci-Fi genre are well aware of the term Android, so I don't think they should have a problem understanding that.

But what I don't understand is: why are you calling the the non-human Androids Mechs? I personally think the term is a little vague, and I would avoid using it in my book, unless they are built like Autobots in movie Transformers (where we can see their whole working mechanism: like gears and stuff). But again, maybe it's just me!

I hope this information helps! :)
