Shannon Vannatter (shannontaylorvannatter) | 171 comments Does anybody know who wrote the first Heartsongs book when the line began? I need some kind of verification. This is for the LI/HP scavenger hunt for Harlequin's online spotlight with authors and readers.

That's what i do when I'm forced to clean out my shelves, simply because I'm out of room for my new books.

June | 213 comments I still have mine, Shannon! :) My day will come, but for now I like seeing all those books and feeling the love :)

Darlene Mindrup | 96 comments Colleen took me under her wing and became a kind of mentor to me when I first started writing for Heartsong. Three of Barbour's final books in the Heartsong line are hers. I have tried to get her to write again, but she has pretty much retired from it. :(

Shannon Vannatter (shannontaylorvannatter) | 171 comments Darlene, I noticed she didn't have a website and she's not a member of ACFW. I thought it would be easy to contact her for verification. But the cover on Amazon says boldly HP#1, so that was enough verification.

June, I think I need to invest in more bookcases, but I'd have to invest in more floorspace to do that.

True. She's like me, a very private person. I don't belong to any writers guild. I don't even have a facebook page. My daughter does my fan page. I prefer to stay off the gird, but being an author has kind of forced me to participate in things I have been reluctant to do in the past.

Darlene Mindrup | 96 comments Excuse my typing. That should be grid.

message 13: by Ausjenny (new)

Ausjenny | 207 comments funny I read it as grid. wouldn't even noticed till you mentioned it.

Shannon Vannatter (shannontaylorvannatter) | 171 comments I saw a funny paragraph once where most of the words were mispelled, but you automatically read the words right. It talked about how the brain corrects things as it goes.

message 15: by Ausjenny (new)

Ausjenny | 207 comments Yes they say you see the first and last letter. I know I don't see a lot of spelling errors in books because of it and the fact I cant spell!

June | 213 comments And when we see it on technology we just blame it on auto correct. :)
