Lyndol Burns Parrish (dixiebelle72) | 15 comments Looking for historical romances (preferably not in America unless really really good) that have truly deranged/evil male or female villains in them that get their just rewards. The more evil or crazy the better. Just read one in England that the hero's wife was raped by one of his enemies as revenge against the hero because the hero slept with his wife and the hero beat him bloody. It was an amazing book so im looking for books like it. Ones that the heroine is severely abused or raped (not by the hero) and the hero makes the villain severly pay for it or any that has a truly deranged villain or villainess. Its ok if there is rape, torture, or dark scenes as long as the villain or villainess doesnt get away with it and the actual abuse or rape is not performed by the hero.

I used to post discussions asking for historical romances that the villain was a female trying to steal the hero (books like Lucinda Brants "Salt Bride") since those are my all time favorite but I rarely got any replies so im hoping i will get more replies with this one. As long as there is a truly dark evil deranged villain in the book (male or female) that gets their just rewards I will be thrilled. Looking forward to reading replies :)

Vellini | 68 comments In Stormfire heroine gets raped by both hero and villain, so I don't know if it counts, and there were many villains (Sorry if it doesn't help, I can find you books where the hero is actually THE villain who does a lot of groveling, those are my favorites, but nice guy VS perfect villain.... no way.... everytime I end up frustrated because I wanted a HEA with the villain in it)

Pam | 2 comments Try Monique by Madelyn Cunningham I think it has all the elements you're looking for.

In Tempest by Catherine Hart heroine hunts down all the villains who raped her
