Thx Page...glad you enjoyed my all boys boarding school story...those 7 years were really great...best friendships forged...just a note though; I note you were surprised about it being very chilly...it was on the highest point of a mountain top, really cold and windy, nice weather I would say. The issue about how boys treated girls wasnt really to be seen as bad, it was more teenage boys youthful exuberance. Caning was good, not seen as inhumane it kept us all in check so hence why the school turned out, prime minister, judges, ministers of government, rhodes scholars, lawyers, doctors etc, the decent men we are now. I understand they dont have caning there now and so the discipline has fallen... maybe they should bring it back.
Glad you enjoyed it, it was a different life but a good one for boys.

I have asked for a copy of the book for my round 4 several times already and have not received anything as of yet. I'm lacking the book Motel Room Dreams.
I've not been able to get in touch with Elle as yet, so Stacie and Sergio, as you have completed the books you have been given to review, you are free to move onto another round if you wish. BUT that is on the understanding that if Elle provides you with her book before 26 May end date of the review round you will still undertake to complete that review. Please confirm that here before you sign up to anything new.Sadly people do vanish without trace now and then - but it could be Elle is ill or on vacation and she may reappear in a few days wondering why we missed her ;)
To anyone wondering what happens if you miss out on a review in a round due to a reviewer going AWOL, the solution is you will get free listing on the one-for-one review thread for your book, so you will get your full set of reviews.

Thanks Sergio and Stacie - so glad you understand!Loralee, I suspect the best that can be done in the case of multiple defaults is give a x2, or whatever is needed, on your book in the one-for-one review list. As you will realise from your own time here, it is rare for such things to happen and horribly awkward for everyone when it does.
Hopefully that will not be an issue here. The problem has more arisen from Elle neglecting to provide her book to her reviewers and it could be she is simply on vacation and will return to complete the round before the end of May.

Meanwhile, as the official closing date is now past any who were owed a review by either or both of our two absentees can post to ask Emma for a free listing on the one-for-one thread (just mention you were owed a review from this group - or two if appropriate) and any who have written reviews for them can delete their reviews.
For those for whom this was a first ever round here, I can assure you such defaulting is not the norm, by far the majority of groups, everyone completes their commitment with no problem and to have two in one group is highly exceptional.

Thank you for your review Faye! That's wonderful that you shared my book aloud with your son. Thank you for the feedback as well; I am a poet foremost and Tiger Kingdom is my first novel. I feel strongly about kids experiencing poetry, and I use it to describe/understand my characters & settings - but in the follow-up novel to Tiger Kingdom there will be less poetry, more action & adventure! Thanks again. :-)
