I don't have such experience either :) this is the first time I am reading a book with somebody.
Yesterday I didn't have much time for reading, but even the first lines proofed my expectations about it.
At the first sight it seemed a little bit vague and gray, but after Dill's coming everything may change.
How many pages have you already read?

I've read chapter 1. It was difficult to read the beginning of a chapter. There were a lot of unknown words and expressions in the description of the family history. But then it became easier to read.
It's impossible to have any opinion about the book after reading one chapter only. But I want to say that the beginning is intriguing.
And it's very interesting to learn life of American provicial town.

Yes, I've come across a bunch of unfamiliar words too.
Didn't you notice how the author pointed out the human feature of finding accuses for the things somebody don't want to do. Now I am talking about the moment when Jem was on the point of running to the Radley's house to make Boo come out and let the children see him, but then Jem accidentally started to worry about his sister. :) after those words Skout understood that Jem was afraid.
It happens too often that people are selfish and only hide themselves behind the curtains of responsibility. :)

Hii!I've started reading the book yestarday.
I was not able to read the entire chapter one.
I am going to read 3 pages for day, because there is a lot of words that I don't know and it takes a long time reading and translating words. :)

You are right Valery. You notice something that happens often in our life. People often hide their fears and other disadvantages behind the mask of responsibility.
Have you noticed another interesting feature of the human which Dill has? I mean his ability to manipulate. He possesses this ability perfectly. It was his idea to make Radley come out but he make Jem ti take the first step.
