The rescue was consistent with his character, but much too rushed. It should have been the climax to the story but it only took a few pages for him to singlehandedly take down everyone. I can't remember 12 guys?
Also I was wondering if Jenna was injured in any way. Wasn't she tortured? He heard her screaming but no mention if she needed any medical care.
I thought his rescue was long enough (two chapters) as I couldn't take much more of the brutality. The takedown of those 12 guards (two at a time) was pretty chilling. Gabe was on auto pilot, moving purely on instinct and training.
The weakness here was with Jenna's torture. Adler had burned her and she alluded to other injuries but none were mentioned once she was rescued. She had passed out several times before Gabe showed up so I expected some kind of mention of her health issues.

So I must have been dozing or my book was missing pages cause I don't remember any mention of her torture or being burned. I only remember Gabe hearing her scream. That's why I thought it odd that only Gabes injuries were addressed.
Adler was branding her with a hot iron. We were given witness to one on the inside of her right bicep.
Ok I got my book back out yes we did hear about that. I think I was in a bored stupor by that point..
The torture and rescue were hard to read. I kept thinking of Gabe losing her just like he lost Angelina and my heart was breaking for him.
Well, one man taking out a dozen guards that are posted around the camp is a bit over the top, but I enjoyed the rescue anyway. Yes, I did think Jenna would need medical assistance by the time she was rescued. Turns out Gabe was in worse shape than her.
We needed to see follow up to Jenna's treatment at Adler's hands, as well as attention paid to Gabe.
Gabe was a sort of superhuman at this point. He couldn't let history repeat itself. I agree that Jenna's injuries were glossed over, she would need as much healing as Gabe did, if not physically then mentally.
