Groovy Lee You did it, Carole! LOL! What have we created? I like the anthology, too. Hope you get a lot.

You want me to find another. I just wanted to make a big splash!!! I'll find the more tasteful ones Alexis is good at.

message 410: by Amy (new)

Amy Hamilton | 2560 comments I haven't got anything for the anthology. It's been about 20 years since I wrote something that wasn't erotica (ok there was a 10 year gap when I wrote nothing at all)

Yup, the author who added the word "Sex" in the title to get attention. Lol.

Yay :)

a) Most of them were probably me checking it wasn't awful. Or
b) yeah that's why I did it!

Re the anthology what is the deadline and the upper and lower word count for the short stories?

message 421: by Amy (new)

Amy Hamilton | 2560 comments Chocolate is good. I love chocolate. Also coffee, very good at coffee.

Is there a thread with information on the short story anthology? I may have something, but it is most definitely short.

Alexis | 861 comments Groovy - you asked me if I had received your article in one thread. I think I might have deleted your comment by mistake. Sorry! Yes, I got it! I'll emai you once I've gotten the chance to read it carefully.

message 424: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee I deleted it, Alexis. **grinning sheepishly** I felt bad about asking. You have enough to do without me adding to it; you'll get to it when you can. I just wanted to make sure I sent it to the right place.

And no problem, no hurries. Take your time:) Have a fun weekend.

Go ahead and give me all that information. It may get simplified down if it seems confusing on the webpage, but at least we will have the details if we need them.

Ember-Raine Winters (ember-raine_winters) | 186 comments Ok great! Thanks Erica!

message 438: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee I have a question:

I want to price one of my books at .99, but I only have two choices on Kindle site, do a countdown or free. I see some listing theirs at .99. So, if you did this by way of kindle, can you tell me how?

message 439: by Aislinn (new)

Aislinn Hi Groovy - You don't do it through the Kindle select page, you do it through your pricing page. When you look at the book on your Amazon bookshelf and hover over the three dots, it should have an 'edit pricing details' option. You change it in there. Hope that helps!

message 440: by Christine (new)

Christine (christineroney) | 261 comments Erica,
When do you need the pricing information for our books? Is there a date you want the info by?

message 441: by J. (new)

J. Saman | 76 comments Hi, yeah, I recently changed the price of Start Again to 0.99 and Start Over to 2.99 (if you could change that... sorry).

Aislinn is right, but if you'll also have to go with a reduced % of royalties as well. If you're set for 70% you can't go below 2.99. To get to 0.99 you have to do 35%. Hope that helps!

message 442: by J. (new)

J. Saman | 76 comments Also, the blurb for Start Again isn't the correct one. Sorry, I should have looked closer, but it was hard to tell unless I read the whole thing. I can post the whole thing on here, but here is the link for it on GR. Sorry!

Hi J. If those will be the new prices for the event, please list them in the thread for prices https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... I want to make sure I dont miss anyone while I am getting the information together. Thank you!

Thanks, J., that explains it. Now I understand:)

message 450: by Amy (new)

Amy Hamilton | 2560 comments It's great that there are still people wanting to be involved in the web site. Love that.

I'm unsure what to do with my pricing for the event. I've put an entry on the pricing thread for 25% off and am almost convinced I'll stick with that. My $ price is an odd one regular price is $3.72 because I'm working in £ and have a £2.99 regular price.

I've checked Smashwords/iBooks and the regular price is listed as $2.99 (it's free at the moment for a few days) I wish I could figure out what to do for the best. I'm still very much allergic to practically giving it away on a permanent basis.
