Larry Piper (lgpiper) | 36 comments Gordon Atkinson's _Foy_ [https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...] needs a page count. The edition I have, which is the only one, I believe, has 182 pp. FWIW, the ISBN number is 978-0-9967535-5-5

Thanks,
larry p

David Raz (davidraz) | 13127 comments Amazon has 194 pages listed. Can you please say what's on pages 183 and onward? Do they even exist?

Larry Piper (lgpiper) | 36 comments The last page in my copy says 182. There is one additional, unmarked page which is blank on the odd-page side, and has a note about the typesetting on the even-page side, i.e. the side that faces the inside of the back cover.

We do have '8' pages before page 1, none marked with lower-case Roman numerals, or anything else. They include, Title page and copyright info; dedication and blank; contents and blank; quote by C.G. Jung and blank.

So, I guess that counting all the front and back matter, we'd come up with 192. I didn't think that was the way these things were done, but then I'm not an librarian.

Oh, and I just noticed. I wonder if the title should be changed from "Foy" to "Foy: On the Road to Lost". The front and back fly leaves imply that's the official title.

David Raz (davidraz) | 13127 comments Thanks for the info. Front matter doesn't count, roman numerals or not. The page count is simply the number on the last page that counts. It does explain why Amazon has it wrong, they probably counted that front matter. I've set the page count to 182 and changed the title.
