My personal view is that a lot of groups are struggling on GR now - don't want to make it any harder for them!

Retro Authors With Active Groups

With Groups Last Active in 2016

Margaret Mitchell

Ian Fleming - 2 James Bond groups, both last active in 2016

& a curly one! A few people in the Georgette Heyer Group expressed interest in Angela Thirkell. There is an Angela Thirkell/Anthony Trollope group - but not active since May 2016. I could be persuaded to stretch a point for this one. :)

I've only read one Thirkell, I think, and I'd like to further my acquaintance with her. Maybe we could do just one of her books, since it's been almost a year since activity?

I just had a look at the Trollope/Thirkell group. The Thirkell part (as someone said in the other thread) not active since 2014. I think we can look at her books. So many people have recommended her to me I am keen to try her. :)

If we do Thirkell, let's do The Brandons, because I just found a copy!

Kim Kaso | 99 comments I read my way through all of Angela Thirkell during a rough period a few years back, then when I had my heart attack and fall which sent be to the hospital for months & left me bedridden for months afterwards, I started a re-read. She is so quietly comforting and sometimes hilarious. I just finished Summer Half a bit ago. Think The Brandons or something close to it is in the queue now.
