Mae smiled feeling good about that, she sighed trying to sit up and look less sick. She wanted to get better he put that will in her and she wanted to make him happy per usual "How are you feeling?"Zach smiled and stroke the cheek with his finger softly "What are we going to name our little man?..." he asked feeling so profound, this was his son! He made this little guy and Taylor birthed him. He kissed her forehead feeling so proud.
Mark shook his head "No...just...don't." he said seriously taking her hand "I need her..." he said softly and sniffed "Can you take Vallee...I can't handle being her dad right now..."
Damon sighed "I know she's against it...but if it's a life or death thing maybe Lexi can convince her...she's doing ok now though? When will things start to get worse?"
Ashlynn smiled up at him and nodded "Yeah...so what do you want to do?...do you want to keep it?...or give it up for adoption?..."
Torch smiled a little then, pleasantly surprised that even though she was sick, she was still asking him how he was. "I'm feeling much better than I was before." He said honestly. "Thank you. I feel like a new person with that disease gone. And you will too, once the cancer has died."Taylor looked down at their child. "I like the name Anthony." she said honestly. "And Brennan is another one I have liked." She said honestly. "But it has to be a name we both agree on. What do you think honey?" She asked, looking over at Zach.
Dem nodded, a little unsure about his friend's attachment to a corpse. he knew there was a certain point where you had to let go. "Yeah, of course. She can come over. Liv would love her."
Vallee peered around the door. "Daddy?" She asked softly. "Please don't make me go." she said, running in and to her mother's side in the corner of the room. "Mommy don't let him send me away!" She begged.
London was sobbing, hating to see her family broken. Hating that Mark was sending Vallee away. Hating that Mark was broken. She bent down and hugged her daughter, wishing she could talk, wishing she had a body.
Raul nodded, knowing it was Ashlynn's best chance. "she is ok for now. Things shouldn't bother her until after the first month, when her stomach will start growing. That may be painful for her." He explained. "Demon pregnancy is rushed as it is, and something that big will be painful growing that fast."
Jude kissed her forehead gently, holding her in a hug. "its our child. I'd like to keep it if you would." he said gently.
Mae smiled and nodded "I know I will, and we can do all of that traveling we have always wanted...I want to go to the beach and cliff dive...feel alive again."Zach smiled and looked at their boy "I like the name Bryce..." he said honestly and moved the hat so he could see his son's face.
Mark went over and hugged his daughter tightly, running his fingers through her hair "Of course you can stay baby...I'm sorry...I just want what's best for you..." he said softly and sighed rocking her back and forth.
Damon closed his eyes trying not to stress "Will she be able to do usual things? Live a life or will the pain be so bad she won't even want to get out of bed?"
Ashlynn nodded "I want our baby...but I don't know how to take care of it..."
Torch smiled brightly, nodding, "That sound's like a wonderful idea. I haven't done anything like that in ages." He said honestly, shrugging. "It would be a lot of fun. Especially if it was with you."Taylor smiled her approval and nodded. "Bryce is a very nice name." She said, smiling down at their child. "Bryce it is." She kissed the baby's forehead and rocked him as he fell asleep.
Vallee turned and hugged her father, crying. "Don't make me leave you and Mom. I don't want to go away." She whispered, turning her face into her father's shirt.
Raul nodded. "She should be able to, right up until labor. She wont be comfortable, but it shouldn't be crippling. I'm sorry I can't offer you a better option, I really am."
Jude nodded, sighing softly. "I honestly don't either..." He said, huffing a little in defeat. "So maybe it is best if we do just give it up for adoption." he sighed.
Mae smiled and nodded "Isn't funny how we never age? I was looking at our pictures and they are the same...obviously we changed but not on the outside..."Zach helped her sit up moving the pillows behind her back and covering her up with the blanket "How are you doing?..."
Mark swallowed and nodded "Ok honey...ok..." he whispered and hugged her as he winced when she kept saying 'Mom' "baby...your mom died...she's not with us anymore..."
Damon sighed "I know...thank you Raul, for everything most doctors would just be blunt about it...thanks for caring about her..."
Ashlynn sighed and nodded "It might be...I don't want to hurt this baby...and having parents that cant drive or drink legally...it isn't whats best..."
Torch laughed easily. "When you get even older than a few centuries, it gets strange to see the world change when you don't." he agreed. "I could age if I want too. But I figured I look most handsome like this." he said, flashing her a grin. Taylor smiled gently at him. "Sore." She said honestly. "But very glad its over." She looked down at their baby boy. "It was all worth it for this little man. But thank you. For everything you did for me these past couple of hours."
Vallee pulled away then, shocked that her father would say that. "That's not true." She said stubbornly. "She's right here. She just can't talk to us." She said seriously.
Raul nodded, "No problem. You know I like you guys. I just wish you best of luck with this. You might want to explain this to Lexi first so she can talk to Ashlynn about it."
Jude nodded in agreement. "I agree." he said softly. He sighed, moving closer to her. "We can have more kids later, Ashlynn, I promise."
Mae nodded "Very handsome...I fell for you after all...even when you were being a butt headed demon..." she teased and kissed him.Zach nodded "Of course baby...that's what I'm here for, I love you so much and I hated seeing you in such pain...but now look, we have a baby..." he said amazed shaking his head "It's so unreal..."
Marc looked shocked but didn't argue, she was being very emphatic that London was still there. He just felt tired and didn't want to do anything...he lost the love of his life, why would he want to keep living?
Damon nodded "I will, thank you again...we'll stay in touch a lot for these few months..." he sighed and hung up the phone looking at Lexi "That was Raul...Ashlynn couldn't even handle the exam, it was like she was being tortured...Raul says aborting the baby is her best chance..."
Ashlynn swallowed and nodded "I know...I just...I don't want the baby to hate me..."
Torch kissed her back, smiling roguishly. "Hmmm. Well I guess its a good thing my looks won you then." He teased. "Even if I was being rather a charming devil." He winked. Taylor nodded, her eyes blinking sleepily. "He's beautiful, Zach. I am so glad we made him." She whispered, happy beyond belief that they had a child.
Vallee knew her father didn't believe her. "She's over there, Dad." She said, pointing to the corner London was curled in. "She's crying because she can't hug us without a body." she explained, wishing her father would see.
Lexi had finished up in the washroom and was back in their room, reading. At the news, she froze, shocked. "W-what?" She asked, horrified. Their poor little girl... "Oh no... so what do we do? What happens if she keeps the child?"
Jude shook his head. "The baby will not hate us, Ashlynn. Don't worry. They will come to understand that we did what we had to to give it it's best chance." He reassured her.
Mae rolled her eyes "Really charming is the word you are going to use? You were a jerk, and I hated you so much! Ugh but then you ended up to be incredibly kind and loyal..."Zach took the child and lay him down in the crib ready for him "Sleep Tay...you need to rest, you've been through a lot...I'll watch the squirt...you just sleep."
Marc stared at the corner but saw nothing, he felt nothing...he nodded and gave a smile to the corner "Tell your mother I'm going to go have a shower..."
Damon sighed "Worse care scenario is she dies, the baby is going to grow quickly and it will be painful for her. Raul said that she can still do day to day things though..."
Ashlynn nodded and whimpered as she felt agonizing pain starting from her abdoman "Mmm...that doesn't feel good..." she lay back trying to get comfortable.
Torch grinned, leaning back a little, his hands folded behind his head. "I thought I was being charming. But yeah, I guess you could call me a jerk too." Then his smile softened. "Mae. Don't go and turn me to mush. That's bad for my reputation."Taylor smiled thankfully and nodded. "Thank you Zach. It'll only be a moment, I promise." She whispered, yawning. She wasn't awake for much longer.
Susan had stayed only long enough to make sure the child was alright with its parents before she packed up and left, heading home.
Vallee looked sad. "She heard you herself, Daddy." She said, shaking her head. "I'm going to go watch TV." She scampered out of the room.
London couldn't watch this anymore. She had her face in her hands, crying quietly. She hated seeing Mark like this, and it hurt her deeply that he could not feel her. Though she understood why. She wasn't "real" anymore.
Lexi covered her mouth with one hand, shaking her head. "That's horrible." she whispered. "We have to get back there, Damon. I can't lose a child. She needs to abort for her own safety." She said, scared.
Jude immediately frowned, worried about her. He propped a couple pillows behind her head and moved closer. "What hurts?" he asked gently, "What's wrong?"
Mae smiled "I think your reputation is down the drain...you care too much, you could have just left when you healed...but you came back even though it is so hard to deal with this..."Zach smiled and sat back falling asleep himself, he was exhausted to the core taking care of her these few hours and healing from the disease, it was a lot but he couldn't be happier.
Marc sighed and went into the shower, he undressed and stood there as the water washed over his skin. He felt numb and wondered if he could even feel pain...he bent his razor so it was sticking out and sliced his wrists.
Damon sighed "You know that she won't! We've taught her all of her life that it's wrong...now we are saying the opposite? She needs you...she needs to understand the risks from her mom...whos had babies."
Ashlynn shook her head moaning and brought her knees up to her chest "It hurts...my stomach...it hurts so badly..."
Torch smiled softly, wrapping his arms around her. "Maybe you're right." he whispered, kissing her cheek. "I love you to the moon and back. But only you and our family. To everyone else I'm still a demon." He whispered, smiling. He kissed where her neck met her shoulder and then just rested his chin there. Taylor woke up a few hours later, to the crying of their son. She slowly got out of bed, wincing a little, and then went to his crib to pick him up and take him back to bed to feed him.
London followed Marc to make sure he would be ok, and she sat in the bathroom, wishing she had some way of contacting him. But she wasn't physical anymore, and she couldn't make a sound. And then she saw what he was doing to himself and her heart froze over, fresh tears filling her eyes. No. Marc... no don't! She tried to grab at his hand and pull away the razor, but she could do nothing. She glanced at the mirror in the bathroom, wondering if he would see her reflection, see her tears and stop, but it was only a small hope, one she couldn't hold onto.
Lexi sighed, shaking her head. "I don't know how to help her. I... Damon. If she keeps the child these next three months are going to be horrible for her." She whispered, holding her head in her hands.
Jude's worried frown only deepened and he wrapped his arms around her gently. "Baby, let me know what I can do to help. What do you think it is?" he asked softly.
Mae shivered and smiled looking back at him and pecking his lips "And the Sylver's..." she reminded and snuggled up close "The rest of the time you can be a tough scary demon ok?" Zach woke up when Taylor did and helped her with Bryce as she fed him, he ran a hand through his hair "Do you want anything to eat?" he asked softly as it was 3 in the morning.
Marc caught a glimpse of her and frowned "Loo..." he let go after making the third stripe down his arm and sat at the bottom of the tub "If you are really there then give me a sign...I don't want to live if you aren't there..."
Damon helped her up after the bags were packed "Come on baby...let's head home." he took flight landing at Lukas's since that's where she was staying.
Ashlynn shook her head "The baby...get the doctor...oh it hurts!" she yelped and thrashed trying to get comfortable and release the pain.
Torch laughed then, nodding. "Yes. And our friends as well." He agreed. He smiled, taking her hand in his. "I have to be tough and scary so I can protect you." He said gently.Taylor smiled gently at him and shook her head. "No. Thank you dear, but it's alright. You can go back to bed. You need your sleep." She urged, not telling him that she actually was hungry.
London stiffened. He wouldn't kill himself if she couldn't get his attention, would he? London turned to the mirror, hoping that it would reflect her, so he could see. She walked up to it and pressed her fists against the glass, letting out a heavy sigh. 'Please. Please see me. Please don't hurt yourself.'
Lexi nodded in admission and followed him as they took a flight back. She rushed in when she heard Ashlynn crying and scooped her daughter into her arms. "Ashlynn, baby. I Need to tell you something about your pregnancy."
Jude frowned, panicking. "What's happening!?!?" He asked, looking around for anyone to help. Where had Lexi and Damon come from all of a sudden? Jude was scared and confused.
Mae smiled and nodded "And you are the best person for the job baby..." she played with his rough callused fingers "I'm sorry I put you through so much."Zach rolled his eyes "Firefly you are probably starving! Let's get you something...I'm fine, I wasn't the one that just had the baby."
Marc looked up and saw her reflexion it startled him as he stood up "you are here...baby i'm sorry...I thought you were gone...I didn't...believe Vallee..."
Ashlynn cried out feeling blood seeping through "I just want the baby to be ok...please get a doctor mom...please..."
Torch's smile turned soft and he watched her play with his hand. "It's ok. Every relationship has its bumps right? We'll come away with a few bruises, but I think for the most part, we survived this last one pretty well."Taylor sighed in exhasperation, but she couldn't argue, because he was right about her being hungry. "Ok, but promise to go back to bed after, alright?" she called after him as he left to the kitchen. She burped Bryce and then bounced him gently until he fell asleep again.
Vallee couldn't stop the tears from running down her face. He saw her. She opened her mouth and tried to say something, but no sound came out. She turned and went to sit on the edge of the tub, still facing the mirror, and she just held her head in her hands.
Lexi shook her head gently. "Ashlynn. You're too small to have a baby. I'm afraid its either you die, or it does." She whispered.
Jude paled and tensed up simultaneously. "What!?" he cried in dismay. He leaned back against the wall, shaking all over.
Mae nodded and smiled "Yeah..we have, I'm so lucky to have you...most guys would just give up and leave...or go to the bar and drink."Zach fixed her a little something and took bryce from her so that she could eat without the baby tugging at her.
Marc hugged the empty air that he knew was her "I'm sorry...I just can do this without you...I'm not a good dad, I need you back Loo...please..."
Ashlynn shook her head "I'll be fine...please just help it!" she begged scared to lose the baby "I want to give it to a good family..."
Torch laughed softly then, shaking his head. "I don't think I handled it much better during the fact, but now that its over, yes, I'm back." he agreed. Taylor kissed his cheek in thanks and ate her meal quickly, enjoying every minute of it. Then she gently took Bryce back again and set him down in his cradle. She was tired and sore from walking all over the place, so she tugged Zach over with her to the bed to lie down as she rested.
London swallowed, turning to hug him back. She wished to high heaven that she would be able to talk to him. For some reason or another, her wish was granted, and London found herself in use of her voice. "I can't." She whispered, shaking her head. "I can't. My body is dead. It won't heal again for a while."
Lexi took her hand gently in her own and looked at her. "Ashlynn, calm down for a moment. You need to think rationally about this and make a pretty big decision." She said seriously. "You are not safe, dear. You were never meant to have children this young. You will die. You will die or the baby will. You have to decide whether you want to give the child a life with no mother, or end it right now before it grows into that child.
Mae smiled and sat at the edge of the bed "I really need to go for a walk...to get out of this bed..."Zach smiled and rubbed her back and stroke her hair as she rested, he found himself also dosing off knowing this was just the beginning of sleepless nights.
Marc closed his eyes and swallowed hearing her and really knowing she was there "But you will come back?...when it is healed?"
Ashlynn shook her head "I'll survive I'm not killing this baby! It did nothing wrong..." she pleaded and cried out again the pain getting intense "Please save it!"
Torch smiled, sliding off the bed. "Let's go." he agreed, standing in front of her and taking her hand to help support her and get her off her bed. The next morning, Taylor had a check up to make sure she was doing alright after the pregnancy. The doctor said she was healing fine and everything looked healthy. Then he left Taylor to rest again and moved out into the hallway so he could talk with Zach.
London closed her eyes, breathing deeply. "I hope so." She said, nodding. She was quiet for a long time, and then she finally whispered. "Why did you hurt yourself?" her voice broke as she spoke, for it had hurt her deeply that he had harmed himself.
Lexi sighed softly twining her own magic with her daughters to work and put the child at rest so the bleeding stopped. For a moment, she was tempted just to kill the child and pretend it was an accident, but she ignored the quiet voices that told her too and let go, gently hugging her daughter. "The child is safe." She whispered.
Mae stepped down and slowly balanced as she leaned her weight on him pulling the IV pole with her down the hall. Zach looked up "how's she doing?" he asked seriously rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, boy he was exhausted the boy didn't sleep at all.
Marc swallowed and leaned in close at the empty space yet if he closed her eyes she was there "I wanted to be with you..." he said honestly and swallowed the tears "I missed you so much..."
Ashlynn smiled and hugged her mother and sighed "Thank you..." she didn't know why everyone was so worried, she'd be fine she's survived a lot worse...this baby needed to live.
Torch helped support her, and lead her through the hallways to the garden for patients. He walked with her outside and smiled at the stars. It was nice to get some time away from the machines with her. The doctor smiled gently. "She's just fine for now. Just keep her eating healthy and keep an eye on her. Post pregnant women are often prone to all sorts of diseases, including depression. And you, my friend, need to sleep better." he advised.
London winced and shook her head, tears running down her cheeks. "If you had killed yourself, you would have left me behind." She whispered, turning so she didn't have to look at the bloody marks on his arm that would forever leave scars. "Please promise me you wont ever do that again."
Lexi nodded, "Just rest now baby." She whispered, kissing her forehead. "You will need it." She stood and left the room, rubbing her temples to quiet her mind.
Mae smiled staring at the stars "They aren't real but they are still just as amazing..." she said softly and sat on the bench inhaling the fresh air "Mmm I miss this..."Zach yawned and shook his head "Bryce was up all night...it's better that I don't get sleep then Tay..."
Marc nodded and sighed wishing he could really touch and know her, he felt slightly insane talking to the mirror "I promise...I love you Loo, I just wanted...I need you back..."
Damon followed and sighed "Is she really thinking wisely about this?...Lex, I can't lose her...why can't she think rationally?"
Torch nodded, sitting down beside her. He leaned back against the garden wall behind them and closed his eyes. "Get better soon, baby. I want to take you home. I want to do so much with you..." He sighed softly, not allowing himself to get emotional. The doctor sighed softly. "Alright, just be careful, ok? I don't want to see you in the hospital." he said, giving him a curt nod before leaving again.
London nodded, swallowing her tears. "I know Marc..." She whispered, cupping his cheek. "Do you know how frustrating it is to not be able to touch you? Or anything? I feel like nothing. I am nothing."
Lexi shook her head, pinching her forehead with her fingers. "No. She's not thinking about this at all. I don't know what to do, Damon. I don't know how to work through this one. She wouldn't listen to me."
MAe smiled "I can take a hint darling...you wouldn't feel scared or worried about my fragile body?"Zach sighed and walked back in "Hey beautiful hows our little man doing?"
Marc shook his head "You are not nothing...I am so grateful to have this much...do you not understand how broken I was?...I feel like it's my fault..."
Damon sighed and rubbed her back "She's scared...you know how emotions get crazy when you are carrying...now times that by a million and you might get an idea of what she's feeling..."
Ashlynn nuzzled Jude "Don't let them take my baby...please? promise me Jude..."
Torch smiled a little. "Not scared, but I am always worried about you. I won't ever do anything that will endanger you." he promised, kissing her cheek. "If now is not a good time, then I am content to wait."Taylor looked up, in the middle of feeding him, and smiled. "He's a hungry little baby. He'll grow up to be big and strong." she said, looking back down at him. "he certainly is handsome."
London nodded, looking down at her hands. "I know Mark. I've been here since the moment I died. I've watched everything, and its broken my heart over and over." She whispered. "None of this was your fault. it was my choice, to save you and the others."
Lexi nodded, closing her eyes. "I know. I know... I just wish I could get her to understand somehow. She's not going to survive this, Damon." She whispered..
Jude couldn't stop shaking, and he couldn't bring himself to look anywhere near her stomach. He was more frightened than he ever had been. "I... its... its not a baby Ashlynn... its just a single cell. And its killing you." he whispered.
Mae shook her head "I miss you...I need you, and with the chemo im sterile anyways..." She said with a small shrug.Zach nodded and smiled "he's got your big eyes...I love those eyes, I'm glad he got them..." He stroked his little head "the doctor says your doing great."
Marc sughed and tried to take her hand but if course he coukdnt "so Vallee sees ghosts?"
Damon shook his head "can't we force her? She is under our jurisdiction after all."
Ashlynn shook her head "don't! It's our baby...I Don't care!"
Torch smiled a little. "then we'll have to find a room to ourselves." he said, kissing her knuckles gently. Taylor smiled brightly, flattered. "Thank you." she said, smiling brighter with the news. "Well I am glad of that." She said honestly. She had been worried.
London smiled a little then at that. "No, Marc, just invisible things. Aparently including ghosts." She sighed heavily. That was what she was, wasn't it? A ghost. A spirit, nothing more.
Lexi sighed softly. "We could. But I don't I don't know if that would be right." She whispered, shaking her head. "I would feel bad about it forever."
Jude nodded weakly and turned around so she couldn't see as his shoulders hunched and he covered his face in his hands as the tears feel.
Mad smiled "my hospital room can lick with privacy curtains...I'm sure that will be ok..." She said kissing down his jaw "it doesn't have to be extreme..."Zach nodded "we just have to keep a close watch on your mental health...my mom got depressed after each kid...it's pretty common."
Marc tried to caress her cheek "member the movie ghost? That was pretty sexual...you are no mere ghost..."
Damon sighed "would you feel worse if she died?"
Ashlynn made him look at her "what's wring?..."
Torch smiled at her gently, taking her hand and walking with her back to her room. "No it doesn't. But doesn't mean it might not be." He said, kissing her gently as he pulled her curtains closed and locked them in place. Taylor nodded a little in understanding. Depression? After pregnancy? She had not known that that was a thing. "Ok. Well just tell me if I'm acting depressed then." She said, smiling lightly.
London smiled weakly, glad that he was trying to comfort her. "Then what am I, Marc?" She asked softly, looking at her reflection in the mirror. Even there her form wavered, as if it wasn't really there.
Lexi swallowed and nodded. "Yes. I would." she whispered. The voices in her head agreed with Damon. They told her to kill the child, and it scared her. She frowned, covering her eyes. "Oh... I don't know what to do...."
Jude pulled his face away, not liking that she saw him crying. He always liked to be seen with a smile. So he moved away from her and covered his face again, shaking his head. "My child is killing you." He whispered softly.
Mae smiled laying down on his stomach "careful with me baby." She said running her hands through his hair and kissing down his jaw.Zach chuckled and nodded "I will definitely be able to tell my little bouncing ball of light." He nuzzled her and watched Bryce "amazing isn't it? One little cell became this perfect baby."
Marc smiled "your my Loo..." He said honestly and nudged his nose against hers "how does it feel? Are you like energyless never get hungry or thirsty?"
Damon dighed and pulled her into his arms and held her tightly against him "for now all we can do is breathe...and hope she makes the right decision."
Ashlynn was shocked that he moved away from her, she realiEd how upset he was. He was the dad, he loved it just as much...maybe she should...but she couldn't! It wasn't fair that she didn't get aborted and this baby would!
Torch smiled then, kissing her. "Oh don't worry. I'll be gentle." he whispered, his hands tangling into her hair. He had missed her so much. What with avoiding her because of the disease, and trying not to hurt her, it had been a while. Taylor laughed softly, nodding. She trusted him. She trusted him to take care of her. "Yes, it is, isn't it? We made a beautiful kid." She kissed his cheek. "But you, my dear, need to get more sleep."
London smiled a little at that. She was something, at least to him. "It feels like nothing. No weight, no worries, no hunger or pain. But no joy either." She said honestly.
Lexi hugged him tight, letting her tears run free. She nodded slowly, knowing that there was nothing else for them to do but just that. "What did you mean before." She asked finally, "When you said we needed to get someone to remove 'them'?"
Jude felt weak. He felt helpless and he felt like a murderer. No matter what happened, he will have killed something. Either the love of his life who deserved to live longer, or his unborn child, who had not even lived yet. He stood slowly, trying to stop trembling. "I need to go for a walk." he whispered.
Mae felt his hands remove the scarf and run over her bald head, she shivered it had felt so nice. she felt love and that's all she had wanted when he avoided her for all those months, she slept by herself and took care of the kids. Now she got the TLC she wanted for all this time.Zach sighed "Why does everyone keep saying that? I'm fine..." he assured her and smiled kissing her head "It's you that had the baby not me..."
Marc wished he could fill that joy in her life again, he placed his hand against hers "How long do you think this will last?..."
Damon sighed "There are voices, that aren't yours...I felt them for awhile now, they don't like us together...Which is why they put so much negativity...it isn't you."
Ashlynn sighed and nodded "Ok..." she whispered back as tears streamed down her face. She wanted to make the right choice...but it seems like no one was on her side...she felt pressured and alone.
Torch curled up under the hospital blankets with her afterwards, one arm under his head and the other around her waist. He kissed her hair gently and smiled. "Goodnight, love."Taylor laughed then and pulled him closer so she could wrap an arm around him. "Maybe not, but you have been caring for a pregnant woman, and that means you need to rest."
London moved so she was against his shoulder, the way she would lean on him if she had a body. "Until my body regains its powers again. Until then, I can not live in it."
Lexi frowned a little, slightly disturbed. There was something in her head that was not her? "What... or... who are they?" She asked, nervous. "And why don't they want us together?" She couldn't think of any reason someone may not want her and Damon together.
Jude left the room and walked down the hallway and outside. He just paced on the lawn until his tears didn't flow any longer. What was he supposed to say? He didn't want anyone to die... but if someone had to...
Mae smiled up at him and nuzzled him "Goodnight...I love you so much..." she said honestly and pulled her gown back on incase the nurse came in to check on her during the night.Zach smiled and kissed her nose "I will tonight, it's daytime and I always feel lazy sleeping during the day, theres too much to do."
Damon sighed "I don't know, Lukas knew better..."
Ashlynn swallowed and packed up her things, she left a note for her family 'I love you, but I'm scared that you don't support me or the baby...I don't want to lose it, I'll see you in three months..." she snuck out the window and began walking to the Fae's forest, she needed answers.
"Love you too." he whispered, his smile bright. He let his eyes fall closed as he fell asleep beside her, his worries of the world gone. Taylor rolled her eyes and laughed. "Ok, ok. As long as you stay healthy." She said seriously, giving him a look. "I can't care for you and the child." She said seriously.
Lexi swallowed and nodded once. "Ok." She whispered. So what were they supposed to do? Could you even remove something like that?
Jude came in later, when he had exhausted himself by pacing. He saw the note and immediately slumped to the floor. He had lost her already? And she wouldn't even say goodbye? It made something in him crumble inside.
Mae watched him a while, how did she end up with someone so handsome, and perfect in almost everyway. She looked up and saw Susan "chemo time?" She was so gratefully to see her favorite nurse back, she flushed feeling how sore she was, being nothing but skin and bones it was pretty much exhausting "may I have a pain pill as well?"Zach nodded and pecked her lips "you won't take care of me, I promise...I take care of you and Bryce, that's my job...as the dad." He beamed loving that word.
Marc sighed and nodded "do you know any healers that could heal your body? That wouldn't think it was insane?..."
Damon heard a slump noise and quickly went back into the room seeing Jude like that was unnerving, he took the note and swore giving it to Lexi, like mother like daughter!
Susan smiled gently and nodded. "Yup. You got it." She said, hooking her up for chemo." She didn't ask any further about the pain pill, and just gave it to her. One glance at the man sleeping beside her told her enough about why she needed it. Taylor smiled a little when he seemed to swell up. She pecked his cheek. "Yes. That's your job and you're doing wonderfully at it darling." she said gently. "I am so very glad I have you as my husband."
London thought about that. "The only healer I know is my father." She said honestly. "And if he can't do it, then there's bound to be others we could ask them about."
Lexi read the note and her heart sank, the voices in her head grew louder, harder to ignore. Your fault. All your fault. Lexi couldn't help but feel that Damon blamed her, and she knew she deserved the blame. She put down the note, her hand shaking, and swallowed. "I'll go find her."
Mae sighed in relief "you don't usually work nights, won't you get tired?"Zach smiled and moved her hair back and kissed her forehead "I'm glad you're my wife...I don't know what I would do without you..."
Marc nodded "it's late but we'll call them tomorrow, let's get to bed..." he paused realizing that wasn't an option "ill sleep in the guest room."
Damon took her hand "ill come with you, this isn't your fault my love..."
Susan shook her head. "No, it's alright. I work occasional night shifts." She promised, finishing up her Chemo and then removing the needle again. "Are you starting to feel better?"Taylor smiled at that, closing her eyes. "You'd have a different girl, I'm sure." She said, only thinking practically. "But thank you, I'm flattered."
London knew she didn't need to sleep, so she just nodded. "Get some rest and I'll see you in the morning." She said gently, deciding to go make sure Vallee was in bed before wandering the house until morning would come again.
Lexi shook her head. "It is my fault." She murmured. "I need to go alone, Damon." She said seriously. "I need to fix this."
Damon shook his head "your not going by yourself...im coming with!"Marc sighed and went to sleep with Valee holding her close, he hated this so much...he wanted Loo back and he wanted his daughter to be happy.
Zach shook his head "I never had anyone but you baby..."
Mae nodded "I actually feel amazing, is my lab work look good?"
Lexi sighed softly. He was so stubborn sometimes. "Damon... wouldn't it be better if I just go talk to her? It's not like its a dangerous journey or anything..." She said gently. London watched her family rest and she let out a soft sigh. She wished so badly that she could have her body back. But she had no way of getting into it. London went into their room and to her body. It had some of her energy already, but it wasn't completely healed yet. London sighed and lay down in it, willing herself to regain control.
Taylor kissed his cheek. "You're handsome and charming. In all reality, Zach, if you had given any of them time, there would have been many girls vying for your attention."
Susan nodded, showing her the data. "The cancer is definitely receding. There is no way you'll be here longer than a few weeks anymore." she said, smiling.
Damon sighed "what if it is? We don't know where she is going! She went on a dangerous journey without telling anyone...it's Ash, and she's obviously distressed."Marc was thrashing all night finally he got up and stared at his arm, he wanted to touch and be with her! Why couldn't he?! He pushed on the new scabs until they started bleeding again.
Zach smiled and nuzzled her "I was lucky to be betrothed to my soul mate..."
Mae grinned excited "I can't believe that! And it'll be gone for good?"
Lexi sighed softly, closing her eyes. What else was she supposed to say? "I know." She whispered, shaking her head. "But she'll listen to me and come back, I know she will. I can handle myself out there Damon, I promise."London spent the entire night pacing. She only returned to check on Mark and Vallee a couple times during the night when her emotions had calmed. Near morning, when she came in, she saw blood on the sheets, and then she spotted Marc's arm and a soft moan escaped her. "Marc..." She whispered, horrified.
Taylor chuckled softly, nodding. She stole a quick kiss and went to put down Bryce to nap. "Yes, we both were." She said.
Susan nodded, just as enthusiastic as Mae was. "Yes. It will be gone for good. Demon cancers do not keep reocurring like human ones do. Your system will be strong enough to keep it away in only a short time now.
Damon sighed and kissed her forehead gently then down her jaw and neck "alright...but be safe? My two girls will be gone and you know how worried I get..."Marc had lost a lot of blood and had gone unconscious, he took her spirit hand with his spirit hand it felt just like human hands would.
Zach watched his little guy curl up with the sock monkey that he had when he was a kid "he's so tiny..."
Mae couldn't stop smiling "isn't there a way to quicken the process? I want to go home so badly!
Lexi closed her eyes, letting herself just enjoy being with him before she would need to go. "I know. I'll be safe, and I'll bring Ashlynn back home safe and sound." She said softly, making that promise both to him and herself. London closed her eyes, not sure if she should like being able to hold him again, or if she should force herself to pull away. "Marc..." She whispered again, tears flooding her eyes. "Marc you can't die. Please... I can't do anything to stop the bleeding... not without my own body. Please don't die." She begged, trembling.
Taylor laughed softly, nodding. She looped her arm through Zach's and leaned against him, happy. "Yes he is. Don't worry, he'll grow big and strong like you." she said, grinning up at him.
Susan smiled gently. "Not if you're not resting. We're doing our best, don't worry." She said, flicking out the lights. "I'll be back in the morning to check on you."
Damon nodded and kissed her once more "I love you, contact me as soon as you find her." He said seriously really wishing that she'd let him come.Marc held her close "I wont...I promise..." He nuzzled her "I just needed time with you...I need to touch and know you..."
Zach smiked and nudged her "don't make me blush...you turn me into a soupy puddle."
Mae nodded and smiled hugging her before she left. Once she laid down she was gone for the count.
Taylor laughed at that. "Of course he's yours. He's got your handsome eyes, and strong chin. I'm sure he'll be a spitting image of his father when he loses the baby fat." She kissed his cheek.
Dem gasped. "Oh man... I'm sorry." He said, shaking his head. It was a little unnerving to have a body in the room. "Maybe we should have a nice funeral service for her. To commemorate her." he suggested.
London stilled with fear. She shook her head frantically, knowing she wouldn't ever get her body back if they did that. She wished she could just speak.
Raul sighed softly. "I hate to suggest abortion. But that might be a good option. If she's against that path, then I'll do my best to keep her and the child alive, but I can't promise anything."
Jude nodded, running his fingers through her hair. "I know." He whispered, kissing her cheek. "Don't blame yourself. It was me too." he said gently. "We were both stupid." he smiled a little.
