Emily smiled and and nodded eagerly, her grin widening as he put the food infront of her. "Parmesan would be nice, thanks. But wow, James, this looks amazing!"Taylor laughed, shaking her head. "Slow poke." She shot back, dodging the snowball and rolling up one to toss at him. She dodged behind a tree and threw it.
Lukas opened and his eyes widened a little. "Well hello guys. Damon. I assume you're here because of this?"
James chuckled "it's my little talent..." He took the grinder and turned the crank slowly sprinkling the cheese all over her pasta. "Tell me when...because I saturate it in cheese!"Zach dodged it and laughed tackling her in the snow and white washing her face "haha I win!"
Damon whimpered and padded his paws impatiently.
Emily laughed softly, nodding. "That's good. Thanks." She smiled and took a small bite and grinned. "Ok. It's official. You are making all my meals from here on out." she teased, shaking her head. "This is amazing!"Taylor groaned and sat up, blowing snow off her nose. "No fair! That was cheating."
Lexi nodded. "My powers are deteriorating, and Damon wants his body back."
Lukas nodded. "Come inside. I'll see what I can do." he promised, motioning them in. "Damon, you can stand by the fan. I'm sure you're hot down here."
James laughed and kissed her cheek "I need to try your cooking though! It can't just be all me darling you'd get bored very quickly!" Zach quickly buried his glasses in the snow, now they won't be found till spring! "Not so! You didn't set any rules!"
Damon ran by the fan his ears flapping in the air as he barked appreciatively.
Emily smiled a little, eating some more. "Ok. Then we'll alternate every other day." She offered, grinning. "When do you start university?" She asked. Taylor laughed and shrugged. "Ok fine. You win. Happy?" She asked, getting up and brushing her pants off. "Where are your glasses mister? I swear you were just wearing them..."
Lucas laughed softly, turning to Lexi. "Darling, would you mind if I ran a few tests?"
Lexi shook her head. "No. I don't mind." By now she trusted Lucas.
Lucas nodded and got out his supplies, taking a bit of her blood and running the tests. "Well... it would seem that your problems can be solved all at once. Lexi my dear, you are deteriorating, because the soul you are bound to does not have access to his own magic." He explained.
James ate slowly "next week...I'm kind of nervous, truly I only joined to get a chance to get to know you but...I am excited just nervous."Zach shrugged "oh dang, guess I lost them!"
Damon looked over and padded over looking up at Lukas wondering how to get his body.
Emily looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "Really? You joined just because of me?" She asked, a little incredulous. Taylor shoved him playfully. "Liar liar pants on fire. I think you just hid them."
Lukas smiled a little. "Follow me. I'll take you to the chamber." he said, walking through one of his doors into a what was, exactly, a chamber. He walked them passed many beds and took them right up to the one which had Damon's body on it. "Here you are."
Lexi looked between the two Damon's and scrunched up her face. "Man this is weird."
James shrugged "demons don't go to schools...we automatically get the position we want in life because we survive for so long...I thought if you saw me on campus you may like me..."Zach sighed and dug them out "they just need to go away!"
Damon jumped on his chest and sniffed, it was weird to see him and he looked dead...and naked. He barked at Lukas.
Emily laughed softly. "Then don't go to school silly! It would be a waste of time, and you already have me!" She said seriously. Taylor tipped her head and observed him. "Why?" She asked. "Do you really hate them that much?"
Lukas nodded. "Alright. You ready? I'm going to pull you out of the dog. You have to get back into your body on your own." He instructed, and then closed his eyes and tugged on Damon's soul.
James grinned and nodded "but I want to, I want to design buildings and not get in the easy way...I still can't believe that I have you" he kissed her gently.Zach sighed and shook his head "I can see but...I look weird and stupid..."
The dog fell limp and Damon struggled to get into his body but couldn't!
Emily nodded, understanding. She smiled and kissing him back, before turning back to her food to take another bite. "University is really just a lot of work. If that's what you're into... then well, you made the right decision."Taylor frowned a little, clasping her hands. "You don't look stupid. Glasses are pretty cool." She said softly.
Lexi was watching the interaction, frowning slightly. "What's going on?" She asked, stressed because the dog had fallen, and she could not see where Damon was anymore.
Lukas was gritting his teeth, frowning in concentration. "I'm trying to hold him out of the dog for as long as possible. But he better get in his body soon, because I'm tiring fast."
James smiled "I'm happy...im excited, you're going to have to help me and such. I'm not the most brilliant guy...uh demon."Zach sighed and put them on "I look stupid firefly..."
Damon sank in but he was weak he didn't wake up.
Emily smiled, nodding. "For sure. I'm more than open to help in any way I can." She shook her head, her smile only growing. "Though somehow I seriously doubt that you're any less than brilliant."Taylor shook her head, squeezing his hand gently and then pulling away again. "No. You look stylish. Now stop beating yourself up, ok? I've got enough problems to worry about without having to defend you too." She teased.
Lexi saw a slight shift in Damon's body and she quickly moved to his side, taking his now cold hand in her own. "Damon?" She asked softly, her eyes full of hope. "Baby, are you alive?"
James smiled lightly and took a bite of his food, his face was flushed but he did feel pretty proud. He took her hand and squeezed it under the table, this girl was the best thing that has ever happened to him.Zach hugged her "how's everything?..I was going to bring candy but my dad ate it..." He shrugged and smiled when the Orange cat come out "hey jacko!"
Damon slowly opened his eyes forgetting everything that happened, he had no idea he was a puppy. The dog was now up and wagging his tail a normal puppy.
Emily smiled gently at him, glad she could make him feel good. She liked the bit of pink on his cheeks. It was cute. Smiling shyly, she focused on her food, trying to finish it without embarrassing herself or anything. She squeezed his hand back, so happy to have him. Taylor smiled, sitting beside him. She stroked the kitten, sighing a little. "Well... The rest of my family is all happy all of a sudden, but Dad is still dead. It's like they are ignoring that..." She bit her lip, trying to keep the tears away. "I... I just miss him..."

Lexi smiled and sighed in relief when he opened his eyes. "You're ok!" She breathed thankfully, hugging him tight. "I was worried there for a second... worried it didn't work."
James smiled over at her "so you know that little ice cream shop, brimstone ripple? It's owned by a demon. That's why I was so surprised that it was your favorite..."Zach held her close and sighed "maybe they are just trying to cope? What about Ashlynn? How is she holding up?..."
((Just that he died.))
Damon hugged her concerned "hey honey...what's wrong?..."he looked around at the bodies and the incubator type bed he was in "where am I?..."
Emily laughed and looked up, "Really?" She asked, surprised. "I guess it would seem that demons are more common than I first thought." She said honestly, shrugging. Taylor leaned into him, needing the comfort. "Ashlynn is like them, happy and fine. She cries at night, but if she didn't cry cause Dad's gone I would be worried about her being heartless." She sighed. "I don't know what I am trying to say... I just... I can't handle how happy they are when he died!"

Lexi raised an eyebrow at him, "You're teasing right?" she asked, "Surely you remember what happened?" She asked. "You know... the car crash..."
James nodded and smiled "they are everywhere, Angels too...my mom was an angel and my dad turned her. London was an angel and I turned her...we always change and evolve...I wanted to be human though when I met you..."Zach sighed and nodded "would it be easier if they mourned all the time? Not leaving the room or eating? My brother nearly died...my parents were a wreck..."
Damon looked at her confused "car crash?...I..." He looked at Lukas wanting answers because he was so confused.
Emily listened, enthralled. "Such an interesting culture. And all the time I have been completely oblivious of it." She said, shaking her head. Then she paused, looking up at him. "You wanted to be human?" She asked softly. Taylor sighed. "No... I...." She shook her head. "I don't know. It just hurts all the time."
Lukas nodded. "You died Damon. Your body has been here ever since. Your soul was transfered into that dog, and you spent a couple weeks with your family as they mourned. Now Lexi has just brought you to me, and we woke you up again." He explained.
James nodded "I never wanted you to know that I was a demon...but to let go of my powers and become human London would have to do so as well and I couldn't see my family..." He paused remembering that too much exposure to demons would hurt humans and got worried.Zach nodded still holding onto her "I'm a good person to vent to...and im a klutz so I could make you laugh easily!"
Damon cupped Lexi's cheek and swallowed "I'm sorry that I put you through that...I love you so much..." He looked at Lukas "I feel like I still can't control my body..."
Emily watched him, a little surprised. "You would have done that?" She asked. "For me?" She shook her head, not knowing how to feel. He really did love her... "James... I... there was no need to do something like that for me." The she bit her lip. "But why could you not see your family?" she asked softly. Taylor smiled, hugging him. "Thanks Zach." She said, "For trying to help me. It's nice to know someone hasn't forgotten about me."
Lexi smiled weakly and held his hand. "It's ok. It's over and done now." She promised.
Lukas nodded. "That's normal. You've been away from it for quite a while. It will take a little while for complete recognition to return."
James nodded with a small smile and sighed "too much exposure to a demon is harmful to a human..." He said quietly picking at his food. He never wanted to hurt her, but what if he did? Because he couldn't let her go...Zach shook his head "who could forget about you? You light everyone's life up firefly...I'm sure everything will work out."
Damon sighed tiredly his body feeling weak "the kids?..." He asked softly worried about how they were coping...especially the girls.
Emily paled a little. "What?" She asked, worry seeping into her mind. "How harmful? Does that mean, like... being around you could hurt me?"Taylor smiled a little, standing up and holding her hand out to him. "Thank you. I'm glad I've still got one friend. We should go in. It's freezing out here." She commented.
Lexi sighed. "It wasn't pretty." She said softly. "We should get you home. They will be thrilled to see you." She grimaced, thinking about all that happened. She hoped he wouldn't ask. She didn't want him knowing about how she had almost killed herself.
James shut his eyes tightly "I don't know for sure..." He said honestly his voice strained feeling that guilt and worry. He swallowed "if you feel anything though...I want you to leave, I can't hurt you..." He said softly pleading to her. Zach stood up and followed her in, he shook the snow off of his shoulders and looked around "wow..." The place was a mess he had never seen their house less than spotless.
Damon nodded and tried to sit up but found that he couldn't, the more he moved the more the bed vibrated causing him to get very drowsy.
Emily swallowed and looked at the table. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, and when she opened again, she was sure. "Then turn me." She said seriously. Taylor nodded, sighing softly. "Mom hasn't really been cleaning..."
Lexi shook her head. "Don't. I'll carry you." She said seriously, scooping him into her arms. She took off, her wings strong again and flew them back to their house and into the upper bedroom so she could get some clothes for him. "Welcome home..."
James was a lot taken aback, he just stared at her wondering if she knew what she was saying "Em..."Zach looked up when he heard a commotion upstairs "sounds like someone just flew in?"
Damon smiled lightly and groaned barely having enough energy "Lex..."
Emily looked up, nodding. "Just do it." She said seriously. "Do it before my courage leaves me again." She said seriously, taking a deep breath to steel herself. Taylor nodded, looking up. "Probably Mom." She said, walking up. "Mom, you in there?" She asked, knocking on the door.
Lexi covered Damon in a blanket and nodded. "Yes. Your father's here too honey." She said, putting her hands on Damon's chest. "Sorry about this, it might be a bit of a shock." She said seriously, pushing some of her energy into his core."
James cupped her face "look me in the eye and tell me that you are ready, that you want this not just to appease me..." He said quietly his hands shaking from the intense emotion he was feeling.Zach looked at Taylor shocked 'your father?' He mouthed his eyes wide. He leaned his ear into the door to listen in.
Damon convulsed and coughed gasping in pain and squeezed her hand tightly.
Emily looked up at him, her eyes travelling between both of his. "This is want." She whispered, meaning every single word. Yes, she was scared, but it was what she wanted. Taylor was just sort of standing there, frowning at the door. "Then Mom really has gone off the edge." she said softly, tears, filling her eyes.
Lexi let a good amount of energy flow into him before she pulled away and held his hand tightly, her features lined with worry. "You ok?"
James kissed her deeply cupping the back of her neck and entwining their fingers together "just relax..." He whispered against her lips and pushed his soul in slowly turning her.Damon swallowed and nodded "I want to see the kids..." He whispered weakly and closed his eyes leaning on the pillow.
Emily nodded, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath as she felt something push into her heart. She gasped, tensing. Her body felt like it was being consumed by fire. Emily clung to him, wincing. "This... this is normal... right?" She whispered. Lexi nodded, calling to Taylor. "Come in honey."
Taylor pushed open the door a little and stared. "D-Dad?" She stammered, running over to him. "Daddy!" She cried, leaping on him and burying her head in his shoulder. "Dad..." She sobbed.
James quickly cooled her down and nodded "this is normal love..." He let it go and held her close "it's all done, are you ok honey?..."Damon held her close and kissed her head lovingly "hi little light..." He whispered and rubbed her back. He had no idea how much his family had suffered.
Emily nodded, frowning as the feeling of warmth stirring around inside her was a strange one. "I think I'm ok... feel a little strange... but ok."Taylor was crying and clinging to him, her small body trembling. "don't ever leave again." She whispered.
Lexi smiled a little sadly, knowing how hard this had been on everyone.
James caressed her cheek and moved her hair back "you look beautiful...wild and sexy..." He kissed her deeply lacing his fingers in her hair.Damon rubbed her back and sighed tiredly closing his eyes, Zach pulled at her "Tay let us go so your dad can get some sleep..."
Ashlynn had a bad headache and was holding her head crying in her dark closet, light made her head pound and it was just so full...
Emily blushed, kissing him back. The kiss stirred emotions in her she had not possessed before and she kissed him back passionately, pulling herself closer. Taylor nodded, following Zach out again. "He's alive..." She whispered, tears still running down her cheeks.
Lexi crawled into bed beside Damon and lay down. She looked at the ceiling and sighed. "We all missed you very much." She whispered.
Dem heard crying and he followed the sound, opening the closet. Seeing Ashlynn, he scooped her up, holding her close against him. "Ash... darling, what's wrong?" He asked, rocking her.
James pulled her on his lap her legs wrapped around his waist. He kissed with intense passion that he didn't know he could have. He felt the bumps where her wings were "let them out..."Zach hugged her tight "told you things would work out for the best!" He led her downstairs "it's time for cake!"
Ashlynn buried her face in his chest to keep away the light "it hurts...make it stop..." She begged and whimpered the pressure was getting intense.
Emily kissed him passionately, pulling herself closer, her arms wrapped around his neck and playing with his hair. She groaned softly as two large leathery wings sprang from her back for the first time. She flapped them a little, so excited, and just kissed him harder. Dem held her tight and closed his eyes. "I'll try." He whispered, diving into his reserves to try and create a shield around her mind."
((have to go for a couple hours.))
James picked her up and bounced her on the bed scavenging her body and kissing all the skin he could see "Emily...you are so gorgeous..."Ash cried out her eyes rolling back in her head before she went limp in his arms.
Emily closed her eyes and shivered, overcome by emotions she didn't even know existed. It was scary, and exciting at the same time. She loved it. "And you are the best thing that has ever happened to me." She whispered, her hands wandering under his shirt and up his back. Taylor grinned and followed him, nodding eagerly. "Cake sounds like just what I need." She agreed.
Dem winced, his mind shooting with pain as she cried out, right after he had put the shield up. "Oh Ash..." He moaned, holding her close. "Please be ok..."
James kissed down her neck and had her shirt off quickly, he bit her collar bone carefully flipping so that she he was on top.Zach bounced to the cupboard and pulled out the cake box and mixing bowl.
Damon felt something, he turned to Lexi "go check on Ashlynn..."
Emily shivered, her heart racing faster and faster. She felt like she owned the world. Her wings lowered around them, creating a little sheltered bubble as she leaned down and kissed him again. Taylor grabbed eggs and milk from the fridge, setting them on the counter.
London woke up early the next morning, feeling very stiff and sore, but much more refreshed than the night before. She smiled softly, remembering then that she was a mother.
Lexi didn't question it. She got up, nodding and rushed to Ashlynn's room, only to find Dem cradling her in his arms. "Oh my baby girl." She whispered, scooping her up gently. "I could have prevented this..." She said, fulling blaming herself. Letting a stream of light flow from her hands, she encouraged it to bind itself with Ashlynn, protecting her mind from unwanted thoughts. "There. Now you will only here what you want to." She promised, kissing her daughter's forehead.
James after protected her with his large wings, he cradled her and kissed her sweaty forehead "are you alright?..." He whispered softly eyeing her with a soft smile.Zach measured out the ingredients and grinned at her "you can mix it!" He got out the electric mixer and set it up for her.
Mark was fast asleep Vallee lay on his chest also asleep. He had a bottle in one hand and the burp cloth over his shoulder. He had taken care of her all night long.
Ashlynn started to stir and looked up seeing her brother and mom, she snuggled in Dem's arms and yawned sleepily.
Emily smiled, her eyes closed as she rested, snuggling against him. His arms felt so wonderful holding her, and his wings were like a shield of protection all around them. "Yes..." She whispered, "I'm just lovely."Taylor grinned and started it on high, squeaking when the flour got all over her. She smiled sheepishly and turned the speed down a little so it wouldn't spray again.
London looked over at Mark and smiled softly. Sitting up very very slowly, she moved over to him and kissed his forehead. "Love you baby." Picking up Vallee gently, she cradled her to give Mark a break. "Love you too baby girl.
Dem hugged Ashlynn close, sighing heavily in relief. "You're ok." He whispered. "Thanks Mom."
Lexi nodded, smiling weakly. "You should have called me earlier, but I'm glad she's ok." She said softly, watching her two kids for a moment longer before returning to Damon. "How'd you know something was wrong?" She asked him.
James nuzzled her and kissed her neck burying his face to inhale her prominate scent. He rubbed her arms and pulled the blankets up to keep her warm. "I love you..." He promised and kissed her forehead.Zach quickly flew out of the way before he got sprayed and laughed shaking his head "we need all the batter for the cake!"
Mark snored lightly his hair flopped over his eyes, he needed a shower and shave. But he was so focused on his girls that he forgot his own needs.
Damon looked up "felt it..." He said quietly "it was like I was having a stroke..is she alright?..."
Emily smiled, tucking herself against him, below the covers and just resting. "I love you too." She whispered, finding it a little awkward to find where to put her wings all the time. She was getting used to them slowly, but it would still take time. Taylor smiled, embarrassed. "Sorry! I didn't know it would do that..." She said seriously, eyeing the batter as if it would explode on her again.
London rocked Vallee and fed her, before putting her down to nap in the crib Mark had made. It was not painted, but the woody look was still nice. Then she walked back into the room and kissed Mark gently. "Rise and shine baby." She whispered, knowing he probably needed to eat and drink after a long 48 hours of labor, and then a newborn child.
Lexi nodded, a little worried by what he described. "Yes, she's ok now. I put a shield on her mind to keep the unnecessary thoughts from flowing in." She said, lying down beside him again.
((Heading to bed. G'night!))
James smoothed her wings back into her back fold and wrapped her close to his chest. He rested his head against hers and sighed in bliss, his eyes closed feeling the fatigue start to creep up.Zach chuckled and made the ingredients float and go back into the fridge. He moved the cake pan next to the bowl and tilted the batter carefully to fill it. "We are going to need frosting!"
Mark groaned and slowly awoke, he stretched his stiff body and rubbed his red eyes. Groaning he slowly got up and kissed London "rest...I'll get breakfast started."
Damon sighed in relief "good...I knew about her headaches but I never expected them to become so intense..."
Emily sighed happily, yawning a little. "Rest darling." She whispered, as she drifted off herself, sleeping contentedly beside him. Taylor watched in amazement. "That's never going to get old." She said, shaking her head as she went to get the icing sugar for the frosting. "I'll have some mixed up in a minute."
London frowned and gently pushed him back into the chair, worried about him. "How many hours of sleep did you get last night?" She asked seriously.
Lexi sighed. "It's unfortunate that she had to see everyone's thoughts, especially at such a bad time." she shook her head. She could only imagine what Ash must think of her now...
((Won't be on too much its my birthday!! :) ))Zach laughed and put the cake in the oven, he dug through the cupboards looking for sprinkles.
Mark sighed softly and looked up at her "maybe two hours...Vallee was fussy..."
Damon took her hand and kissed it "are you alright?"
((Happy birthday!))Taylor finished mixing the icing, getting it all ready for when the cake would be done baking. "This is fun!" She said to Zach.
London's eyes widened a little and then she shook her head. "Then you are going to bed this instant." She said seriously, "And I'll make you breakfast."
Lexi smiled weakly and nodded, closing her eyes. "I'm just glad you're back." she said seriously, sighing.
Zach chuckled and threw a snowball at her "hey firefly!"
Damon whimpered and scratched at the door.
