McKensie and Lara

Emily nodded, looking at him for a moment. She lay her hand on his arm. "Are you ok?"
Lexi smiled softly, signalling that she understood.
Dem frowned. "Then what scared her Ash?"

James swallowed and nodded he quickly moved from her touch "I need to call my parents..." He grabbed his phone walking to the hallway to call his dad.
Ashlynn shrugged and continued to eat "could've been anything..." She knew it was because she was crying so hard last night

Emily pulled back, a little stung, but she nodded, looking down.
Torch picked up, seeing that it was James. "Hey bud. Everything alright?"
Dem frowned a little, seeing something was wrong. He gently led her into the hallway, kneeling in front of her. "Ash... what's wrong? What has been going on?"

James swallowed and ran a hand through his hair "London had the baby...thought you'd want to know..."
Ashlynn swallowed and shook her head starting to cry "I can't sleep...I see everything and it's scary! Mom wanted to kill herself! I saw that...I see your nightmares and fears and I can't stop!"

Torch smiled softly, turning to Mae. "London had the baby." he said, before turning back to the phone. "Ok. Now what are you really calling about?"
Dem frowned in worry, taking her hands gently in his. "Ash... that's awful. Are you trying to reach into our minds? or does it just come to you?" he was more than a little disturbed that Lexi had thought about suicide, and he was worried about what else Ash may have seen.

James went into the bedroom and swallowed "Em wants nothing to do with being a demon...she's just seeing this as a fling...I shouldn't have even...dad I don't know what to do..."
Ash shook her head "it just comes...I get headaches everyday trying to block it out! I know too much and I don't even get to be a kid...I'm 4 and I'm more mature then Taylor!"

Torch frowned a little, sighing. "Are you sure that's how she feels? What makes you think she does not want to be a demon?"
Dem squeezed her hands gently. "I'm sure there is a way to help block those things from you. I'll find it if I can, ok? I hate to know you're going through that."

James told him word for word the conversation that they had and sighed deeply.
Ash hugged him tightly and sniffed "I hope so...don't tell mommy ok?"

Torch heaved a sigh. "It might just be too soon James..."
Dem nodded. "I wont tell. I promise." He hugged her gently.
((Sorry its so short. I dont have a lot of time right now))

Mark smiled and slowly left the room with Vallee so London could sleep. He saw Emily and smiled "hey...I didn't know you were here!"
James sighed "I said when we were older, of course it's too soon! But now...it's just awkward."
Ashlynn pecked his cheek and looked down seeing Shadow "hi puppy, eavesdropping are we?"

Torch nodded, thinking about that for a moment. "So just dont bring it up again for a while and see how it goes. If u really want you could break it off with her. But thats up to you. You have to do what you think is best."
Dem smiled at the black dog. "A peculiar animal... isnt he?" He asked. "And the way Mom talks to it...."

James sighed "yeah dad...thanks, say hi to mom." He hung up the phone and slid down the wall breathing.
Ash frowned "his thoughts..." She kneeled by Damon "daddy?..."
Damon barked and licked her face.

Torch nodded, hanging up and sighing. He went back over to Mae, hugging her gently. "So we're grandparents and James is having relationship issues."
Dem frowned a little. "Ash... what did you just call that dog?" He asked, totally confused.

Mark frowned "James turned me...I wasn't born one, I found out what they were when I was five and I was scared too...but I hurt London, and James was paralyzed...I chose to be with the ones I loved and I will never regret it.
Mae smiled and snuggled in "when is he ever not?..."
Ashlynn held him close "Demetri it's dad...I'm not crazy! It's daddy...mom knows it too..."

Torch smiled, kissing her temple. "I sort of feel bad for that kid... he's had such a rough life." he wrapped his arms around Mae.
Dem just stared at Ashlynn in shock, not really sure if it was true, or if bot his mother and sister had gone crazy with grief. "But... but that's not possible..."

Mae sighed and nodded "yeah...he needs some light in his life...he gives light to everyone else."
Ashlynn touched Dem's forehead and then Damon's she closed her eyes connecting their minds 'Dem don't call your mother or sister crazy...at least over this issue.'

Torch nodded. "That's for sure. I almost hope Emily works out for him. Poor kid needs a break."
Dem gasped and jumped back a little. "Holy crap!" He said, his eyes wide. "Ok. Now I'm crazy..." he shook his head, just staring at Damon. "So you're my dad? Actually?" He asked, shocked by it all.

Mark smiled "it's really not that different I promise, and it doesn't hurt...and bonding is so incredible it entwined your souls and you are like one person."
Mae nodded and kissed him "how's Zach?...is he getting used to the glasses idea?"
Damon wagged his tail happily, Ashlynn was feeling pretty faint and fell into Dem's arms. Damon barked worriedly.

Torch nodded, kissing her neck. "Hes getting used to it, slowly." He agreed. "But I think it will still take some time."
Dem caught Ashlynn and held her gently, stroking her hair. "Will she be ok?" He asked Damon.

Zach bounced in at that moment "dad I can't find my glasses so sorry."
Damon pulled at Lexi's pant leg and whimpered motioning to Ashlynn.

Torch raised an eyebrow. "They're not just stuffed in your closet so I can't find them, are they?"
Lexi ran over and picked up Ashlynn, holding her gently. "Oh baby, what happened?" She asked. Reaching into her reserves of energy, she gently slid some into her core.

Mae raised a brow "Zachery?..."
Zach shook his head "they aren't in my closet I promise."
Ashlynn coughed out and slowly opened her eyes "Dem?..." She crashed again just so tired from not taking care of herself.

Torch stayed looking disbelieving. "Your drawers?"
Dem sighed a little in relief when she woke, and he took her gently from Lexi, carrying her up to bed and tucking her in. "Rest. You need it." He whispered.
Lexi sighed, leaning back against the wall. "Our poor family..."

Zach shook his head and sighed "the butter dish..."
Ashlynn yawned and Pigmy leaped on the bed and snuggled in.
Damon leapt onto her lap and attacked her with kissed.

Torch nodded, "Zach... why did you hide them?" He asked gently.
Dem smiled softly at them both and closed the blinds so she could sleep before gently shutting the door and leaving.
Lexi laughed lightly and shook her head. "Yeah, I love you too." She scratched his back.

James chuckled "I think he wants us to leave darling..."
Zach sighed "everyone laughs at me...I hate it. I thought if I hid them I wouldn't have to wear them anymore and you wouldn't be disappointed..."
Damon panted and put his paws on her chest happily

Torch sighed. "I'm really sorry to hear that Zach. You shouldn't let it get to you. The people who laugh... they're not the best in the world."
Lexi shook her head, rubbing his stomach. "You are a male right now, right? Because if you ended up in a female body..." She made a face.

Zach sighed "I'm a loser, I don't fit in...why do I have to go?"
Mae held him close "so you can learn and grow around with humans..."
Damon motioned to his little furry part and kicked at her.

Torch hated to see his son so down. "You are who you make yourself out to be. If you act like you're confident, you'll find yourself more confident, and more people will want to be around you."
Lexi sighed in relief and smiled at him. "Well that is a very good thing. You're still the man of this family. Even if you are small and cute and fluffy." She teased.

Zach hugged around his neck and sighed "alright dad...but can I be home schooled?"
Damon rolled his eyes and whimpered worrying about what he head Ashlynn say.

Torch looked over at Mae, asking for her input. He couldn't make that decision himself. Mae usually dealt with the kid's schooling.
lexi sighed, nodding. "Think she'll be ok?"

Mae sighed "finish off this year and then we'll see ok? Now go and get your glasses!"
Damon lay his head drooping a little, he wished he could tell her what he heard.

Torch nodded, as always, backing up her decision. "So you'll finish the year. Ok?"
Lexi noticed his expression and she frowned in worry. "What?" She asked soflty.

Zach sighed and nodded he went to get his glasses and put them on.
Damon communicated everything he could to Lexi and tiredly slumped.

Torch smiled softly, "You look great, with or without them Zach. I promise."
Lexi paled, looking horrified. "Why didn't she tell me earlier? I could have established a barrier for those thoughts." She said seriously. "Ashlynn?" She called. "darling? You want to come here? I think I can help you."

Zach smiled starting to believe it, he ran upstairs to work on his homework.
Mae laughed lightly "he is quite a character..."
Damon whimpered reminding her that she was resting from collapsing earlier.

Torch laughed softly. "Yes he is. Quite the character. And he'll be a ladies man, that's for sure." he kissed her cheek. "I think he's got more you in him than me."
Lexi sighed, closing her eyes. "Right." She huffed. "Damon... I... I don't know if this is good time to say this or not but..." She bit her lip.

Mae raised a brow "and what does that mean?"
Damon tilted his head watching her and wondering what she was going to say, it didn't sound good...

Torch laughed softly. "You're the charming one. He got it from you." he teased, kissing her.
Lexi sighed looking at the wall. "The stress... it hasn't been very good for me. I'm pretty sure my magic is deteriorating." she said softly.

Mae nipped at his nose and smiled "when should we see our grand baby?"
Damon whimpered worriedly wishing he could ease that but there wasn't much he could really do...

Torch shrugged a little. "soon. But not right away. I imagine London, Mark, and the baby are all resting right now."
Lexi sighed, leaning her head back against the wall. "It's ok. I'll live through it. I'll just be..." She huffed. "Human." For one of more powerful species known, that was really humiliating.

Mae nodded in understanding and curled up rubbing her stomach "I just want to keep them inside..." She said softly wanting to protect her powerful little tyke.
Damon sighed and his ears flopped, and he was a dog...things had changed for the worse that is for certain. He wondered if Lukas could do anything to fix it.

Torch nodded, holding her gently. "I know honey. I know." He rested his chin on her shoulder and kissed her cheek, before just relaxing with her.
Lexi smiled weakly at him. "You better grow bigger at some point, because I wont be able to protect us forever."

Mae snuggled in and watched the snow fall with him, she kissed his cheek "love you..."
Damon barked and touched his paw against his cheek "Lukas?..."

Torch smiled. "Hmmm." he played with a strand of her hair and smiled. "Love you too." he whispered.
Lexi sat a little straighter. "Think he could help me?" She asked hopefully.

Mae smiled "I think I'll sleep here...the bed hurts my back."
Damon panted and wagged his tail "or me!"

Torch smiled and leaned back, closing his eyes. "Then I'll sleep here with you." he promised, running his hand gently over her stomach.
Lexi nodded, letting her light wings spread. "Dem? Your father and I are leaving for a moment. We'll be right back." She said, scooping up Damon in her arms and flying down into hell.

Zach went to go play with Taylor "Tay where are you?" They were best friends since nearly birth since they were unofficially betrothed or what not.
Damon could feel the heat now and it was weird to not be immune as a demon. He yelped and panted trying to stay cooled down.

Taylor swung down from the branch she was perched on and landed in the snow, giggling. "Hi!"
Lexi frowned a little, not liking that he was uncomfortable, and she tucked him closer to herself, sheilding him in her arms. She knocked on Lukas's door urgently, hoping he could help. "Lukas? You home?"
James heard the baby cry and sighed "fine. Apparently." He just didn't know what to feel right this moment. He didn't want a relationship if it wasn't going anywhere.
Damon looked up at Lexi to show that he did nothing of the sort.
Ashlynn shook her head "it wasn't the dog..."
