McKensie and Lara

Mark curled up in the chair reading the book about fatherhood and learning about the baby. He wanted to be prepared for anything, he wanted to be a good dad.
Damon followed his finger and grinned amazed at the graceful beauty "good eye son...if only it would drop a feather..."

London slept for a good couple hours, when the doctors came back in to run some tests and check to make sure she was doing all right.
Dem nodded. "Maybe we could get closer? See if there are any feathers on the water?" He offered, watching the loon preen itself and swim about.

Mark kept her calm and chuckled "I should be jealous...they get to see more of you then I do!" He just wanted to make her smile and forget about the awkward position she was in.
Damon slowly turned it and paddled softly as not to disturb it from it's preening. He was a child again, fascinated by birds and especially the loon.

London smiled a little and turned her face to him as the doctors started poking around again, because she didn't want to watch. "We can change that later, don't worry." She teased, pecking his lips gently.
Dem helped, dipping the paddle in slowly to keep from splashing as they moved slowly forwards. He could start to make out the details in the massive bird. It was so beautiful. There were in fact feathers that it had dropped floating around... at least three of them.

Mark nuzzled her and kissed her back "you might be too sore...I don't think you want anymore invasion...maybe a hot bath?"
Damon collected them and smiled giving one to his son "this is the best moment to share with you Dem"

London nodded. "Good point. Later then. After everything is back to normal." She smiled and nodded at his suggestion. "But a bath sounds devine."
Dem took one of the feathers and stared at it reverently. "Thanks for bringing me along." He said, mesmerized by it.

Mark smiled and kissed her again "I love you..."
Damon smiled "your the only one I would want to be here Dem"

London smiled and closed her eyes, turning a little without disturbing the doctors so she was closer to him. "Love you too, babe."
Dem swelled inside, his smile growing a little. He knew no more words were needed, so he just nodded, and pocketed the feather. He couldn't feel happier. He was loved by someone as awesome as his father... "Do you hear that?" he asked, suddenly, his ears catching the faint sound of water gurgling and splashing.

Mark smiled and kissed her again "how you doing?..."
Damon's grin grew and nodded "first rapids are coming up! This one is called kissing rock, if you don't get out of them you run smack into the side of that cliff."

London sighed a little. "Ah... well... ok I suppose. Don't really like being here... but ok."
Dem's eyes widened. "Wonderful." He said, watching the water ahead carefully for the first glimpse of the angry waters. "So what happens if I fall out?"

Mark nodded "we'll go home as soon as they allow it ok? And you can wear underwear." He teased and kissed her neck.
Damon steered so they rode the middle of it. " cross your arms and lay back with your feet out. Don't panic and ride it out I'll get you soon."

London laughed lightly. "Well that is a luxury I have been missing. And I'm holding you to that bath you promised." She whispered, closing her eyes when he kissed her.
Dem nodded, trying to memorize that. "Right." He said, paddling steadily, his knees braced stiff to keep him planted in the raft. He didn't really want to fall out...

Mark nodded "I'll give you a massage and we'll light some candles and just cuddle..."
Damon motioned to the rope he could hold on to. "Don't worry, it hardly ever happens."

London smiled softly. "Mmmm. Let's get out of here and do that now, please?" She asked, thinking of how lovely it would be. She just wished the doctors would hurry up...
Dem nodded, watching as the white bubbling water drew closer. "Well... here we go." He said, grinning a little nervously, but still excited.

Mark chuckled "let's wait till the tools and hands are out of you ok?"
Damon chuckled and steered right through the middle, they sunk down and then shot up throwing them around.

London sighed folding her arms stubbornly. "Fine..." She huffed, impatient, but she was smiling.
Dem paled, and then grinned, wooping as they bobbed and shot down the river. "This is great!" he shouted over the roar.

Mark looked over at the doctors and went to see what they were doing to her "so what are you checking on?"
Damon laughed and got them out if it, they were both soaked and he shook his head "you should have seen your face Dem!"

The doctor didn't look up from his work, he just smiled. "Checking to make sure she is stable and wont bleed again." he explained. "And checking on the status of the babe. Wont take a minute longer."
Dem elbowed him. "Hey! My first time ok? No teasing." He said, shaking his head to rid his hair of water.

Mark smiled a little "do you know the sex?" He asked curiously and stroke her thigh lightly "how many more times does she have to go through this..."
Damon chuckled "you did great kid. Thanks for not flying out of the raft! It would give your old man a heart attack!"

The doctors nodded. "She's carrying a baby girl." He said, smiling softly. "If this test goes well, then this should be the last time." He promised.
Dem grinned deviously. "Maybe I'll try that next time, just to see the look on your face for a change!" He teased.

Mark smiled and looked up at London "honey! We are having a baby girl!"
Damon shoved him into the water, it was calm so no harm done "wanna say that again boy?"

London smiled happily, sighing. "Well isn't that lovely." She breathed.
The doctors pulled away from her, pulling off their gloves again. "Well. That settles it. She should be fine. But remember. No stressful situations."
Dem spluttered when he came to the surface. "Maybe I will old man." He laughed, leaping at his father to try and tackle him into the water.

Mark helped her out if the stirrups and covered her up leaning down to kiss her "ready to go?...you still are on bed rest by the way." He warned not letting up on that.
Damon chuckled and flew up as he leaped so the raft tipped but Damon stayed dry.

London nodded. "Yes. Lets go!" She agreed. Then she pouted. "Yeah yeah... I'll take it easy." She agreed, not really liking that much.
Dem growled. "Ok. That's it." He said, and the water swirled around him, leaping up at his command to splash Damon. "Hah!"

Mark smiled and helped her into her clothes and packed up their things. "No arguing missy, we have to get ready for our little princess."
Damon chuckled "nice one! That's a new ability I haven't seen before!"

London needed his help for moving around, as she was still rather weak. "Mhm." She agreed, resigning to it. She knew there was no arguing out of this one. "You promised me a bath." She reminded then, smiling as they walked out of the hospital.
Dem grinned and shrugged. "Ah... its one I don't use much. Not very helpful for anything." He explained. "Except for splashing people."

Mark flew her to his apartment, he tucked her into the bed and smiled "rest first before the bath...you look exhausted honey."
Damon turned the raft back and flew back in "what all can you do?"

London pouted and grumbled, folding her arms stubbornly. "Not tired..." She yawned. "At all."
Dem shrugged. "Not anything all that cool. Invisibility. Water powers. Manipulation of life force."

Mark smiled and kissed her deeply "I'm not budging love...I've got to take care of my girls..." He nuzzled her neck.
Mae and Torch were at home with Zach, Zach frowned and poked Mae's belly "mommy fat!"
Damon raised a brow "Dem that's really amazing! You have more abilities then I do!"

London sighed, melting beneath his kisses. "Well if you insist..." She said, smiling. She hugged him and cuddled closer.
Torch laughed lightly, shaking his head. "No... you're getting another sibling."
Dem rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "Thanks, but yeah right."

Mark snuggled in and wrapped the blankets around her he made the teddy bear kiss her and kissed her stomach.
Zach frowned confused "why?..."
Damon chuckled and shook his head "I'm serious, I may be tough and violent...I don't have that many abilities."

London giggled and closed her eyes, kissing his chest. "Aren't you just so charming..."
Torch smiled. "Because we decided you needed company with London and James moved out."
Dem smiled a little. "Yeah. ok then." He said, shaking his head. "My powers are not all that great."

Mark chuckled "I try...how are you feeling now? Do you want a heating pad?"
Zach hopped around happily "really?! When is it coming? I don't want a sister!"
Damon rolled his eyes "I and any other Elder of the demons would disagree."

London laughed softly. "Oh lay off, I'm fine!" She insisted. "and its all rather silly that I'm confined to bed."
Torch laughed at his eagerness. "Soon. Don't worry. A couple of months or so. I have no way to tell if it is a girl or a boy yet."
Dem bowed. "Well mister Elder. I guess your word is law." He smiled wryly.

Mark shook his head "hush! Your brother nearly died saving you! Least you can do for him and me is rest!"
Mae smiled and nodded "you'd be a good big brother either way!"
Damon smacked him on the back of his head "don't be a smart mouth boy."

London nodded, closing her eyes. "yeah. Don't remind me. I don't want to think about that right now." The memory of James's pale face still made her heart pound in fear. She had no way of knowing if he was still ok...
Torch wrapped an arm around Mae and smiled, kissing her cheek. "And we'll have one more little tyke to teach right from wrong..."
Dem sighed, shrugging and rubbed his head. "Sorry, sorry. Didn't think it would offend you." He said, turning away as he started to pack up the raft.

Mark shook his head "I saw him, he's doing well...and when we see our baby it'll be all worth it."
Mae nodded and kissed him "no more though" she said seriously.
Damon shook his head "it was a joke Dem, I'm fine and we are t done with all the rapids yet."

London smiled a little relieved. "I know. I trust you. I'm just... not one to sit around this much..." she said, sighing. "It gets too boring too quickly."
Torch smiled. "Alright. Your word is my command." He promised, kissing her cheek.
Dem smiled. "Oh." He pulled the raft back out. "Further down the river?"

Mark smirked "what can I do to keep you entertained? Movies, books? Puppet shows with socks?"
Mae kissed down his neck and nuzzled him "I gotta go lie down..."
Damon nodded and pointed ahead "about 2 more hours down the river."

London smiled deviously. "Bath!" She pleaded. She had her heart set on that. After being at the hospital... she just felt gross.
Torch nodded, scooping her into his arms. He carried her upstairs and to their room, laying her down gently. He snuggled up with her, kissing her. "Better?"
Dem nodded. "Great. Let's head out then."

Mark nodded and slowly picked her up to the bathroom and started the warm water and bubbles.
Mae nodded and kissed him back and sighed "you have to keep an eye on Zach..."
Damon started paddling faster and grinned "the best ones are coming up. After though you have to call your mom."

The nurse came in. "Yes? What is wrong?"
London giggled in excitement, hugging him. "Thanks honey!" She exclaimed.
Torch sighed heavily. "Right." He agreed, getting up. He went downstairs to look for Zach. "Where are you little tyke?"
Dem nodded in agreement, grinning in excitement for the upcoming rapids. "Let me at them." He said, paddling faster.

Mark smiled and grabbed a rag and started to clean her softly "that feel better?"
Books started flying at him and he heard a giggle "can't catch me!"
Damon laughed and rode right in the middle quickly dipping and flying through them.

Emily held his hand tightly, nearly hyperventilating herself. "James, hang in there baby. Please."
((whats wrong?))
London closed her eyes and leaned back. "Yes..." She sighed happily. "You're more than welcome to join me." She added, smiling without opening her eyes.
Torch deflected the books that came at him with one arm. "Now where are you you little trouble maker!?" He asked, charging around the house.
Dem grinned, his eyes lighting with excitement as the waves roared and crashed against the boat. This ride was much rockier and he found his stomach lurching a couple times when he was sure he would fall out, but didn't.

James gasped on pain "Em..." He squeezed her hand "Em..."
Mark smiled and got in from behind her and kissed down her shoulder and her hand.
Zach started to laugh and made food comf out of the fridge quickly.
Damon kept the boat under control and kept paddling laughing happily "yeah!"

The nurse called in the doctors and they immediately got working on him.
"What's wrong!?" Emily cried.
"His situation is critical I'm afraid. His heart is failing."
"What!?" she shrieked. "How can you help him!?"
The doctor sighed. "We can't. Not unless we find a good match for blood."
Emily held out her arm. "Take mine! Please take mine!"
London smiled, leaning back into him. "Love you darling."
Torch frowned. "Ok. That's it. You don't touch my food." He said, his wings coming out so he could swoop after Zach.
Dem was panting after the rapids finished, as he had been paddling the whole time. "That was great!"

Mark rubbed her large tummy softly "I love you more...what are we going to name the little princess?"
Zach laughed and appeared tackling him in a hug "I win!"
Damon nodded and shook out the water out of his hair "I don't know about you, but I'm tired and hungry...let's head back to camp.

London thought for a moment. "Names. Good point. I guess the little tyke does need a name, doesn't she?" She chewed her lip in thought. "oh man! I have lots of names I like! Rose, Emma, and Sari are some. Any names you particularly like?"
Torch laughed, hugging him tight. "You cheeky little boy!" He said, shaking his head.
Dem nodded. "Ditto. My stomach is growling at me..." he said, smiling ruefully as he helped pull the raft out of the water.

Mark nibbled her ear "I like Emma...and Vallee."
Zach laughed "I got four! Two on my face and my butt!"
Damon dried it out and deflated it "get in the truck, there are towels in the back do not sit down unless you are completely dry!"
London nodded, trusting him to take care of her. "Thank you." She whispered as she drifted off into a long needed sleep.
Dem grinned sheepishly. "Right. Sorry." He scanned the water, hopeful that he might spot a bird. "There!" He exclaimed, pointing. Sure enough, one of the black birds was swimming slowly across the water a little ways away.
