McKensie and Lara

Mae smiled "aww! You are so cute!" She hugged him close.
Damon watched him "do you even want to do it Dem?...I heard what you and Mae talked about..."

Torch huffed, blowing his hair up, and rolled his eyes. He didn't think he was cute..."mhm." He grumbled.
Dem winced. "You did?" He closed his eyes and sighed. "I don't know. I don't know what I want anymore." He said honestly.

Mae smiled "change back then!"
Damon took his hand "you know whatever you do I'll be proud of you right? I don't want you to be me, I don't want to be me Dem...you have an amazing spirit that I don't have, I want you to find your niche."

Torch changed back to the age he enjoyed most, the age they had been living in. "There, better?"
Dem smiled a little and nodded, "Thank you. That means a lot." He said honestly.

Mae kissed him deeply in response "much..." She whispered and kissed his nose.
Damon squeezed his hand "I love you Dem, your my boy and I want us to get to know each other better..."

Torch let his hands wander to her waist as he kissed her back. "mmm. Starting to remember why..."
Dem smiled, nodding. "Love you too." He said back. He looked to the road then, watching the sights pass by. "So where are we going?"

Mae bit his nose and laughed "down boy..."
Damon smirked "you'll see."

Torch grinned, kissing her passionately again. "Dragon." He reminded. "Not a dog."
Dem groaned and slumped back in his seat, dying of curiosity. "You're killing me." He shook his head. "How long is the drive?"

Mae grinned and lay on top of him "really, there's not much of a difference..."
Damon shook his head "you get your impatientness from your mother, it's not that long of a drive, think of it as a chance to finally say everything you have wanted to."

Torch slid his hands up her back beneath her shirt. "Yes there is." He growled softly, pulling her closer.
Dem nodded, huffing. "I dont know.... I dont know what I think anymore...." he said, honest.

Mae giggled and nipped down his neck "not much of one...I have you on a short leash." She teased.
Damon frowned watching his son, was he depressed? "What do you mean?"

Torch stopped, raising an eyebrow. "oh you do, do you?" He asked, challenging.
Dem raked a hand through his hair. "I just... I don't know who I am. You know?" He asked, shaking his head. "Everyone says to be myself. But I don't know who that is..."

Mae smirked "I can have you completely incaspitated with one kiss. Yes I'm pretty sure you are on a short leash, I'm not letting you go."
Damon nodded "I get that, maybe this trip we can find that out right?"

Torch grinned, kissing her nose. "Oh is that so?" He asked, his smile growing roguish. "I rather think it is the other way around..."
Dem nodded, smiling then. "Yes. I suppose so."

Mae smirked raising a brow "oh yes? Prove it!"
Damon pulled into a campground near the cliffs "this used to be my favorite place Dem."

Torch laughed. "You asked..." He said, letting his hands wander from her back around to her front. He delicately traced his lips down her jaw and to her neck, working his magic with them there.
Dem's eyes widened. "It looks amazing!" He exclaimed, hopping out of the truck. "However did you find it!?"

Mae gasped out and whimpered "Mmm not fair..."
Damon smirked "better you don't know, alright help me get the tent up."

Torch grinned, sucking a little. "The leash goes both ways darling." He kissed back up to her lips, kissing her sweetly there.
Dem shrugged and then nodded, grabbing the rolled tent bag from the back of the truck. "Where will we put it?"

Mae smiled and kissed him back nuzzling against him "mmmhmm I suppose you are right...I think it's just a silly little thing called love however..." She had his shirt off and was running her hands down his abbs lightly.
Damon was clearing an area from rocks and twigs, the flatter the area the easier it is on the back! He motioned him over setting the tarp down already "think this will work, if it gets too cold well...we can sleep in the truck."

Torch smiled, closing eyes eyes slowly and enjoying her hands. "Not silly. Love is a powerful thing." He whispered, running his fingers through her hair.
Dem nodded in agreement, pulling over the tent to the area. "So how do we set these up?"

Mae smiled "how about we make some right now?" She whispered in his ear and nipped at the lobe.
Damon smiled "see these poles? They have elastic in between them, just connect them into a big pole." He demonstrated and laced the pole through the tent.

Torch groaned softly and pulled her closer. "That sounds like a brilliant idea..." He whispered, his hands moving higher to pull off her shirt.
Dem frowned, finding that it looked simple, but was rather difficult in that the poles seemed to want to go everywhere but where they were supposed to... "You make it look so easy!"

Mae had it off and turned so he was on top "hi there..." She whispered and kissed him deeply nearly swallowing him whole.
Damon chuckled and went over to show him "just takes practice Dem, you've got it don't get flustered!" He watched him lace in through the tent "perfect!"

Torch growled softly, his hands becoming rougher as they wandered. "So eager baby..." He whispered, letting their mouths play.
Dem smiled triumphantly, feeling a little better now that he got one in. That is... until he realized there were still two more to go. He slumped. "Aw man!" and picked up the next pole to string in.

Mae nodded and clutched him moving away the rest of his clothing "now..."
Damon chuckled "I couldn't do it without you kid, I get the tent all tangled up!"

Torch made love to her, sweetly, like he usually did, but with a little more passion this time that left him breathless by the end of it. "I love you." He whispered, kissing her cheek.
Dem rolled his eyes. "Yeah right. You're just trying to make me and my lousy job feel better." He said, smiling. "What's next then?" he asked, as they had the framework and inner layer of the tent all up and pegged.

Mae smiled and nuzzled him lightly "I love you more..." She lay her head on his shoulder all of her stress gone.
"Let's get the rain cover over the roof, it'll keep out the rain and the bugs." He handed one side to Dem and draped it over the top "peg it down with the metal rods, the small ones!"

Torch smiled, hugging her. "I love you most." He said softly, stroking her hair.
Dem nodded, pulling over the rain cover. He pegged down his two corners and stood, stretching. "Can we roll out the beds now?"

Mae traced his chest and then paused "shoot! Not again..." She whimpered miserably and buried her face in his chest. You think that they would learn!
Damon chuckled "what? Tired already?" He teased and set up the small cots and rolled out the sleeping bags and pillows. "Voila!"

Torch sighed, realizing then what she meant. He kissed her forehead. "What's one more darling? The others are moving out..." He said, trying to make her feel better.
Dem shook his head. "Of course not!" He protested, grabbing the coolers and firewood box, setting those up near the tent. "Should we hang a tarp above our campsite in case it rains?"

Mae sighed and snuggled into him trying to be comforted by his words "the last one killed me Torch..." She reminded quietly and let a tear fall "of course I want more..." She lay on his chest listening to his heartbeat "im just scared..."
Damon nodded already setting up the canvas over the food table and grill, he secured it and nodded with satisfaction "we'll hang the food in the trees at night so that the animals can't get to it...not that we couldn't scare them away I'd prefer not to lose our lunch."

Torch sighed, hugging her close. "I promise I won't let that happen again." He whispered reassuringly, knowing in his heart he would do anything to keep her save.
Dem laughed and nodded. "Good idea. Gives us a couple of hours of sleep." He said, helping with securing the tarp. "Well. Looks like everything is set up..."

Mae shot up hearing James yell "what on earth?..." She whispered worried about the twins.
Damon nodded "let's set up a fire pit and gather some tinder to start with. We may need more wood later."

Emily jerked awake, crawling back in her bed when a dark shape with wings swooped in her window "What...what..." She stammered, trembling.
London stepped forwards, flicking on the light. Outside, lightening flashed and she frowned. "Don't like what you see?" She asked, glaring. "Guess what? I am a demon honey. Yeah. That's right. Not human. And neither is your boyfriend." She snapped.
Emily was pretty much shaking by now and she shook her head, almost crying in fear. "Don't hurt me..."
"Oh I wont." She promised, her voice slick with fake assurance. "see you later." She said, swooping out the window again, and off into the night. I did what I had to. she thought.
Torch frowned, getting up and slipping on his clothes. "I sure hope those two are alright..."
Dem nodded, gathering stones to put in a circle around the fire pit to keep the fire from spreading. Then he walked off into the nearby trees to gather tinder and wood for their fire.

Damon kept an eye on him, but had to reassure himself that he could take care of himself. He dug out a bathroom put and set up toilet paper on a rod.

Torch looked around, worried because he didn't see London. "What's going on up here?" He asked.
Dem came back with an armload of wood and a good amount of tinder which he added to their woodbox, before heading out again to find more.

Damon started the fire and nodded smiling, this reminded him of when he was young, America was just barely being established and this is how they lived. He had plans for him and Dem, he was finally opening up to him!

Torch frowned, watching his son shoot out of the window. He walked back down to Mae and sat with her. "Something is wrong..." He said softly.
Dem finished gather another armload just as the sun was starting to set. He sat down by the fire and looked out over the cliff edge at the lake. "It's beautiful." He said, watching the colours.

Mae was dressed and frowned standing "what is it?..."
Mark came in frowning "I can't find London!"
Damon nodded and smiled "this is where your grandpa and I lived when we moved here...every part of the land was covered in evergreens...I wasn't a demon at that point."

Torch sighed, raking a hand through his hair. "I guess those two have some things to work out."
Dem raised an eyebrow. "You weren't always a demon?" He asked, curious. He hadn't known that about his father.

Mae sighed and put her hand on her stomach "we need to get her home, stress isn't good for the baby..."
Damon looked over surprised he didn't know that "no...I wasn't, I was turned when my village got attacked...you know that blanket we gave you when you were born? Your grandmother made that..." He said softly patting his shoulder.

Torch nodded. "Let's wait a few more minutes and see if they return on their own. Then I'll go fetch them."
Dem nodded, smiling a little. "That's really cool." He said. "So... there was a village right here back then?" He asked, looking at the dirt beneath their feet.

Mae nodded and lay on his lap face up, "good...now I need that belly rub you are so good at..."
Damon nodded "burned to the ground, that's when your old man lost it and became the legendary killer I hate to be known as..."

Torch smiled and obliged, massaging her stomach gently. "Of course honey."
Dem nodded slowly, understanding. He looked at the ground and scuffed his toe in the dirt a little. "I'm sorry it started that way." he said honestly.

Mae sat up worriedly "Torch call Anne..."
Damon shrugged and smiled "it's alright, the point I'm trying to make is I'm not someone to be like Dem. if I could I wouldn't do any of it, you and mom and the girls are my best accomplishment. But you kiddo! You are an amazing fighter and flyer, you are a genius and could be anything you want.

Torch nodded, sending a message to Anne, who flew up immediately. She saw London's pale face and took her from James, laying her on the couch. "What happened?" She demanded, checking London's vitals and feeling her stomach which caused London to moan.
Dem smiled softly, poking at the fire with a stick. "Thank you." He said. "And just so you know, I dont want to be you. But I do look up to you."

James watched scared "it's my fault, I upset her..."
Damon smiled "want a s'more?"

Dem grinned, nodding. "Yeah! please."
Torch laughed briefly and then frowned. "Yeah. Don't use that word. Makes me feel old." He switched his appearance to that of an eight year old. "And I am not old."
Dem sighed, leaning his elbow on the window. "I don't know... I'm trying but..."
