McKensie and Lara

Lexi nodded slowly, hugging him. She was grateful to how well he could calm her. She bit her lip. "I think having James in the hospital and Mae nearly dying just was too much for him." She whispered. "Even the strongest people snap eventually."

Damon sighed and nodded "he didn't have to say such horrible things about you or our daughter though...I will always be on your side...I never thought things could ever get this far..."

Lexi bit her lip and nodded slowly. "Im sorry that they did. But I really dont mind... about what he said..." she said softly. This was mainly because she thought he was just stating the truth.

Mae looked up and gasped taking the twins in her arms and held tight "Alex! The twins are here!" They certaintly boosted her spirits!
Damon frowned "don't you ever believe any of that garbage! It's not true, you are the best thing for that wife of his! He just blames all of his problems on someone else! Especially if they are different!"

Lexi sighed and closed her eyes, leaning into him. "Thank you." She whispered. She was trying desperately to believe his words.

Damon smiled and kissed her "I love you my beautiful girl...no matter what form you take..."

Lexi smiled in pure joy at him, biting her lip. She loved how he could make her feel like nothing in the world could get her down. "I want to give you something." She said softly. "Pull out your wings."

Damon pulled out his wings and watched her curiously "you don't have to give me anything!"

Torch smiled gently at them, and then flipped the light off. "Goodnight kids. Sleep well." He whispered. He shut the blinds so that they would be able to sleep. Then he left their room and went back into his bedroom, sighing softly.
Lexi smiled, somewhat mischievous. "Yes I do. It is my fault you're in this weak form anyways." She said, and her form wavered, her wings and eyes and ears changing. She smiled at him. "Hold on." She ran her fingers over his wings and their feathers fell away, revealing his former, larger, demon wings. Then she pulled back, smiling at him. "You're a demon again."

Damon grinned he could feel the power surging through him again, he felt like himself again! He hugged her tightly "oh my...thank you Lex! You just gave me the best gift anyone could!"

Lexi laughed and hugged him back. "Well I'm glad of that. I guess I'll have to watch out when we wrestle now." She teased, shaking her head. Her form wavered, and then she looked human again. "I do believe we were in the middle of something, before Torch came in with the kids..." She said, smiling roguishly at him.

Damon grinned happily and pounced her on the bed "careful...I'm not an angel anymore!"

Lexi laughed, her eyes lighting up. She looked up at him, one of her hands reaching up to play with his ear and hair. "Do I even look like an angel to you? I am totally up for anything you throw at me." She said, smiling, before reaching up and kissing him and then lying back again.

Lexi had forgotten to shift back into her human form during all the excitement last night, so she lay now with her large wings folded and limp behind her back, and the point on her ear prominent as her hair was off her face and splayed out on the pillow. She was pressed up against Damon, one of her hands resting on his chest.

Damon slowly woke up "what a nightmare..." He mumbled and rolled over seeing Lexi in her true form, he realized that it wasn't nightmare. Torch and him weren't friends anymore...

Lexi's eyes blinked open when he mumbled something and her face scrunched in worry. She reached up a hand to caress his cheek. "Are you alright?" She asked softly.

Damon nuzzled her hand and sighed nodding "I thought last night was just a nightmare..." He muttered quietly and snuggled closer to her "We can't tell Demetri not to play with the twins and I don't want to force you from being with Mae..."

Lexi bit her lip. "I hate to see you like this." She whispered, cuddling her face against him again. "Can't you and Torch just talk?" She asked softly, as if she was afraid of suggesting it.

Damon sighed and kissed her temple "I don't know..." He said honestly, he knew it would be an intense game of 'say uncle' "he said a lot of things that I can't forgive..."

Lexi bit her lip, shaking her head."But I have forgiven him! Really! I understand why he said it. I really do. Put yourself in his shoes for a moment." She urged, shaking her head a little.

Damon sighed and nodded somberly "but...I just can't fly over..." His pride wouldn't allow him to be the one to let up first, just like the contests in the swimming pool so long ago...

Lexi smiled, kissing his cheek. "Sounds like you wont have to worry about that." She whispered, and motioned towards the sound of knocking.

Damon blinked, could that really be him? He pulled his shorts on and searched for his shirt till he realized Lexi was wearing it, he chuckled with an eyebrow raise "think that's mine..."

Lexi laughed. "Oh really?" She countered. "Are you saying you want me to take it off?" She teased, pulling the shirt over her head an handing it to him.

Mae looked up from her book "I'm in the dining room." She called back and sighed running a hand through her hair.

Torch walked in and leaned his shoulder on the doorframe. "Mae... I owe you an apology for how I have been this past while." He said softly, his golden eyes watching her.

Mae sighed not saying anything for awhile and the tears just came she nodded trying to let him know that she forgives him.

Torch walked over in two quick strides and gathered her into his arms, holding her against him. He kissed her hair gently and closed his eyes, overwhelmed with joy.

Mae held onto him and sighed leaning her face against his chest "I just want my Torch back...no more yelling, or cruelty and I won't drink ever again..."

Torch nodded, "im here." He promised. "No more yelling. And im holding you to no drinking." He agreed. He rubbed her arms gently.

Mae smiled and nodding she stood up and jumped in his arms holding him close "this feels so much better!"

Torch grinned and spun her around, showering her head and face in kisses. "Are we alright now, you and I?" He asked hopefully.

Torch grinned and spun her around, showering her head and face in kisses. "Are we alright now, you and I?" He asked hopefully.
Damon shook his head stroking her hair "you saved her life...and like you said earlier when can control Taylor's powers...you could never hurt anyone...you are still my angel..." He sighed shaking his head "I've never seen Torch like that..."
