McKensie and Lara

Anne pressed her gently back down on the bed. "Its ok. Im sure.... um..... Alex will be watching them." She promised. She sure hoped it was so, for her grandchildren's safetly.

Mae nodded a little in shock "how are you here...father said you died...he left me at uncles...and then I died."

Anne sighed. "Being dead to your kids is easier than telling them that you're a demon." She pointed out. "I had your good in mind by leaving."

Mae felt a tinge of anger and hatred "you didn't care...don't tell me that it was in good mind! Even as a demon you still could have contacted...uncle abused me and killed me! But what would you care...you let go of the burden of a daughter..."

Anne shook her head. "I am sorry for what was done to you. Im sorry for everything. I love you." She whispered, brushing the bangs off of Mae's face.

Mae started to weep quietly and hugged her tightly burying her face into her shoulder.

Anne bit her lip, her eyes welling up with tears. She hugged her daughter closer, her hand resting on the back of her head. "Ive got you." She promised. "Love you, Mae."

Mae sniffed "I missed you mum...I miss my kids..." She whispered sniffing again.

Anne nodded. "I missed you too." She let her daughter go, straightening again. "Youll see your kids in a week." She promised.

Mae smiled "they are beautiful...I want you to meet them."

Anne nodded. "I would love to meet them. But right now I am taking care of you for the week.

Mae sighed "I'm fine...now, I just want to go home..."

Anne nodded, sighing. "I know you do... but you cant."

Mae sighed "Alex isn't bad...he just cares too much sometimes, I didn't want to have the babies here...it wasn't his fault."

Anne sighed softly. "Why didnt you say that before?" She asked, shaking her head. "I will try my hardest to get you out sooner." She promised.

Mae sighed "I told the Elders! I got locked up...plus I was dying..."

Lexi immediately jumped up and started to fly to torch's house.
Anne sighed. "I will try to get you back home. But I dont know if I can."

Mae nodded understanding "do you ever miss father?"

Anne nodded. "All the time. But the split was better for both of us." She said softly.
Lexi arrived at the house and gently took the babies without asking questions, going off immediately to put them to bed.

Mae sighed "do you love anyone now?"

Torch nodded slowly, taking the equipment he was handed. He bit his lip, staring at the page for a while before bringing down the quill and inking the first couple strokes.
'Hey babe. Miss you. I want you to know that I love you and I would give anything to be with you right now. I would come down there, but... I lost my wings, and so can not go into hell. Stay safe,
Alex.'
He rolled up the parchment and handed it to Damon sullenly, giving him a small smile. "Thank you."
Anne paused and thought about that for a moment, "No. I don't love any man at the moment. Not in that way. I have friends that I love, and I have you. But I don't have a lover."

Mae smiled a little "what about Lucas?..." She saw the way they approached eachother.
((Will do! I was like...maybe she doesn't like the rp anymore? And debated whether I should say something)

Anne laughed softly and kissed her forehead. "That is none of your concern young lady. Now get some rest." She said gently, walking towards the door.
((no no, I love this rp. I would tell you if I wanted to stop it. :) ))

Torch found himself wandering through the halls, until he found himself in his study. he shut the door slowly and walked to the far corner, sinking down against the wall. wrapping his arms loosely around his knees he hugged them to himself and hung his head.

My heart just tore open...Torch how could they?! Is there anything I or Damon can do to get them back?...I can leave till the end of the week but I am being taken care of by my mother, I am regaining my strength and miss you and the twins terribly...I love you
Always yours,
Mae
She handed the scroll back to the guard and Damon delivered it to Torch.

'don't worry about me Mae.
I will be fine. I promise. I love you, stay safe.
Alex.'
He purposely didn't answer her question about getting his wings back, because he couldn't answer it.

Mae sighed worriedly and lay on the cot thinking about how he locked himself in his study...away from her...

Anne walked back in and over to Mae. "Hey. I brought you lunch." She said gently, setting it down beside her. "I'm working on getting Lucas to let your boyfriend off the hook sooner, don't know if it is doing any good yet though."

Mae smiled and took the sandwich "thanks...Damon says he has to be monitored...it's killing him though..."

Anne nodded sadly. "I understand. And I'm sorry. I wish I was more in control of what went on here, it would make things a lot easier. I don't have that kind of power, but I will do what I can."

Mae nodded "I know...thank you, you do t have to help and you are...I'm grateful for that..." She rubbed her head "I just can't lose him..."

Anne sighed softly, seeing the pain in her daughter's eyes. "I'll go talk to lucas again now for you." She promised, leaving quietly to talk to the head of the elders.

Lukas looked up and saw Anne "what news do you bring?..." She was gorgeous in his eyes, powerful and regal truly like a queen. He didn't understand Mae was related to her.

Lexi smiled softly, "they're ok. They're in the crib now, fast asleep." she said, walking over to him to give him a quick hug. "They're doing just fine. But how are you?"
Anne pulled back her shoulders, and lifted her head, losing the loving motherly look and regaining her usual stance. "The girl is fine." She said briskly, walking closer to Lukas. "But the boy is dying because of what you have done to him." She said simply. "Do you really think this is necessary? We can not expect children to be perfect."

Lukas rolled his eyes "A child indeed. Torch is nearly a century old...he knows better and deliberately disobeyed for that girl, this is the only way to get through to him. He will be monitored...he's lucky I'm not seperating them."

Anne nodded. "Still. He is young. And he is in love. Surely you know what that is like. Young love can be blinding." She said, shrugging a little. "Can you not let Mae go, to stay with him during the week? You'll kill him otherwise. Surely you would not rather he died than be with her?"

Lukas considered it, love...what a biased term. What does anyone know of such a strong emotion? "Fine. Let the girl go." He said dismissively with a wave of his hand.

Anne nodded, "Thank you." She said simply, inclining her head in respect. She left quickly, heading towards the infirmary where Mae was being kept. Her large, dark brown feathered wings unfolded and stretched as she did so. Scooping up her daughter, she briefly said. "I am taking you to him." Before taking off and flying out of hell to Torch's house.

Mae instantly went to Torch leaning close to him "I'm here..." She stroke his hair and back grateful to be home but scared of how fragile her love was. She had never seen him like this...

Torch shifted a little upon hearing Mae's voice. "Mae?" He whispered weakly, his eyes opening a crack. One hand reached out and grabbed hers, holding it tightly. He brought it to his lips and kissed it gently, a tear tracking down his face. Then he let go of her hand again, not having the energy to hold onto it.

Mae felt a jolt of energy and breathed out easier, she coughed and tried to sit up "James...London...my babies..."
