Damon frowned desperately "please...you know I didn't mean any of it...Lex...I love you more then anything..." He begged and felt the tears starting "please look at me beautiful?..."
Mae curled back into him and sighed "has Damon ever heard of a bedtime?..." It wasn't the first time that Torch had left in the middle of the night. She yawned tiredly "what's going on?..."
Lexi slowly lifted her eyes to the foot of the bed, and then lowered them again, before lifting them all the way to his eyes. She stayed silent, figeting a little, her teeth clamping down hard on her lip.Torch smiled and curled up with her. "They're back. They're a little... troubled, but they'll be fine." He said softly, closing his eyes again.
Damon swallowed and took her hand in his almost desperately "Lexi please...please I love you so much...don't do this to me, I need you..." He was scared that she'd never be ok it seemed like everything went wrong in their relationship.Mae snuggled back in and sighed "good...we'll check in the morning...now this mommy needs some sleep before the twins start at it again!"
Lexi swallowed slowly, her heaet pounding. "I... im sorry... its not you. Its not you. You didnt do anything wrong." She assured. She looked down again unable to last under his gaze.Torch nodded, hugging her close. "Goodnight luv." He whispered, shifting to get comfy before closing his eyes.
Damon pulled her to the bed and wrapped his arms around her body and kissed her neck "I'm fine...don't feel guilty, you passed that's all that matters to me...Lex it breaks me seeing you like this...I just want to hold you...celebrate, but you can't even look at me..."
Lexi nodded slowly, closing her eyes and shivering when he kissed her. She shook her head slowly. Passing wasnt all thay mattered. "Im so sorry." She mumbled, hiding her face against his chest.
Damon held her close and stroked her hair back and brought her lips up to kiss her lovingly. He wiped away her tears "I'm fine" he repeated and sighed "I heal quickly...Torch has done far worse as a joke" he traced her face "I love you...nothing is going to change that."
Lexi nodded and hugged him back slowly looking up to meet his gaze. She managed a small half smile. "I love you too." She said, relaxing a little and kissing him again.
Damon smiled and lay down cuddling her up to his side and pulling the blankets over them. He smiled at her and pecked her lips "Maybe we could so something fun tomorrow?...with the others?"
Lexi nodded, curling up against him. "That sounds lovely." She agreed, running hand slowly up to his head so she could pull him closer to kiss him gently before curling up against him again and closing her eyes.
The next day Mae woke up and headed to the bathroom per usual, she sighed and cleaned up the mess. She glanced at her stretched t-shirt and frowned clothes weren't fitting anymore. She put on a flowing sundress and kissed Torch "Wakey Wakey sleepy head" Damon woke up to sharp pain but remained calm remembering his condition he made the construction demons bring Lexi breakfast while he looked over the new renovations being very pleased with them.
Torch slept even after she woke up. He groaned and shifted, wincing. "Ten more minutes!" H begged, smashing his head into the pillow. Lexi smiled when she woke up, as Damon was holding onto her, and there was breakfast on the side table. She pulled it closer to her, eating some of the toast slowly. "You doing ok demon boy?" She askd him.
Mae laughed and rubbed her stomach, the twins were very restless "And that is your father..." She teased and headed down to make some breakfast for the both of them. She looked in the nursery when the eggs were done cooking and smiled it was perfect, and another crib could easily fit in there. She sat on the rocker and smiled at the old Teddy bear that Torch had contributed from when he was a kid, it was very sweet.Damon smiled and nodded kissing her temple softly "just took some pain meds and I feel good...I'm excited to go out today though, without training you or flying..."
"Hey." He complained. He stayed frozen for a minute, just breathing and trying to gain the courage to wake up. Finally he sat up and ran a hand through his hair, slipping out of bed. He walked into the nursery, smiling when he found his love. "Hey darling." He whispered.Lexi nodded and kissed his cheek. "I am excited for thay as well." She agreed, curling up once more. "Any specific plans for the day?"
Mae smiled up at him and put the bear back with the other toys. She hugged him from the side, since the front was uncomfortable "decided to get up?" She teased and kissed his cheek "just figuring out what else we are going to need..."Damon fed her some more toast "I think Mae wants to do baby shopping so you can ask her if you can tag along, I was thinking a picnic lunch and watching the fireworks tonight."
Torch nodded, hugging her back, one arm over her shoulder. "Great. Do we need a lot?" He asked softly. His hand rested on her stomach, rubbing it gently.Lexi grinned, eating the toast drom his hand. "Great. Sounds lovely. I get you to myself tonight, right?" She asked hopefully.

((Goodnight :) ))Mae shook her head and smiled "not really...just the crib and bedding. I want to get clothes and things when we know what the genders are..." She felt a sharp kick in her ribs and sighed "I'll be grateful when I have my own body back!"
Damon chuckled and nodded "I'm all yours! I'll keep Torch out of our windows..." He nuzzled her "we have our own planning to do."
Torch nodded, trying to keep a mental checklist. He winced when she did and nodded as well. "You are fairly far along. It shouldnt be long now." He assured, smiling encouragingly at her.Lexi grinned in excitement for the day ahead. "Great." She kissed him gently. "Ive been looking forward to this all month." She said honestly. When she was training with him, she had had very little time to chill.
Mae smiled and took his hand heading back to the kitchen as she dished up the eggs and bacon for him. She paused thinking for a moment "where are we going to deliver the babies?..."Damon grinned and kissed her back "me too..." He played with her soft hair "you should see our house it's exactly what you planned."
Torch took the food from her with a smile, and was carrying it to the kitchen when she asked. He bit his lip. "Wherever you think would be best." He said finally after some thought. "We can do it here if you want. You dont have to go back to hell." He assured.Lexi's eyes lit with excitement and love. "Really?" She asked hopefully. She had planned out their house like she wanted her dream house to be. If it was like that then life couldnt get any better.
Mae smiled "I'd like to do it here...I'd feel comfortable and it would be special." She winced rubbing her stomach "the twins agree it's a good idea too..." She breathed out through her mouth slowly "I think you should take over this until they are born...like a seahorse."Damon grinned and helped her up showing her their perfect house "we need to do new paint colors...everything is shite but I appreciate all the work they did."
Torch nodded on agreement. "Yes. We can do it here." He promised. Then his face paled and he laughed nervously. "Uh... no thanks." He shook his head. "I admire you for doing this." Lexi grinned and jumped up and down in excitement. "Yes. Its perfect! Oh my gosh!" She jumped on Damon, hugging him. "Thanks for everything."
Mae smiled a little and shook her head "it was a joke love..." She whimpered and took deep breaths "let's head to Damon's so Lexi and I can head to the store."Damon chuckled and spun her around kissing her lovingly "no, thank you my beautiful girl..."
Torch's face creased with worry when she whimpered. "You ok?" He asked. He slipped his hand around hers and squeezed it gently, nodding. "Yeah. We can head over. Fly or drive?" He asked her, worried about her comfort.Lexi smiled, almost crying for joy. "I love you so much." She rested her head on his shoulder, biting her lip and closing her eyes. Her arms wrapped around his shoulders and held on tight.
Mae breathed through the pain slowly and nodded squeezing his hand "I think driving would be best..." She said softly and leaned into his chest rubbing her stomach.Damon chuckled and kissed her softly holding onto to her closely "yet, I still love you more!" He played with her hair lightly "Torch said they'd be here soon"
Torch nodded, taking her hand and leading her gently outside. He helped her stay upright and slowly helped her into the car. He stepped on the gas and drove all the way to Torch's house.Lexi nodded, grinning like a fool."ok. Great." She said enthusiastically. She was super excited about going out with mae.
Mae breathed through the pain and sighed deeply in the car as they drove, she felt the seat get wet "Torch...my water just broke!" Damon smiled "I'm glad you are good friends with Mae" he heard his phone and went to go find it.
Torch's eyes grew wide. What? Already? Was she that far along. "Crap crap crap crap." He bit his lip and stopped the car. "Damon better be ok with this happening at his house." He muttered, picking her up and carrying her to the door.Lexi got up when she heard a knock. She walked over to the door. Opening it, she immediately beamed, but her smile disappeared when she saw that something was wrong. Something was wrong with Mae. She looked in pain... "Damon!" She called.
Mae gasped in pain and cried out leaning back into Torch, she breathed through the pain and shook her head "I can't do this...Alex!"Damon ran in "go to the guest bedroom! Lexi got towels and old sheets...crap!"
Torch kissed the top of her head. "Yes you can." He assured. His heart was pounding and he couldnt believe that this was happening. He jogged her upstairs to the bedroom and lay her down on the bed, propping pillows up beneath her back.Lexi nodded and scurried off to grab the things. She walked into the room with a pile of towels and sheets and immediately helped Torch with getting the sheets below Mae, and the towels ready nearby.
Mae gripped onto Torch's hand tightly and shook her head crying out as she lay against the pillows and bit her lip. She felt the worse pressure all the way up her back and down her sides it was agonizing!Damon helped set up the bed and looked on the laptop on how on the earth they were going to deliver this baby! He glanced at Lex "can you try and help her be comfortable?..."
When everything was ready, Torch knelt beside the bed and gripped her hand, holding her tightly. "Shh. Shh darling. You'll be ok. Just breathe." He said gently. "Take deep breaths."Lexi nodded and helped Mae bend her knees slightly. She eased her out of her pants and grabbed a cold cloth to mop down her brow. "Hold on Mae. You'll be alright."
Mae breathed slowly and nodded looking at the ceiling, she rubbed her stomach feeling the baby lower and breathed again as a contraction hit. "Just talk to me...distract me please" she begged Torch.Damon flipped through the website "alright...when you feel the urge to push, hold it for 10 and then breathe...I don't know how dialated you are though."
He said with a flush and shrug.
Torch nodded, trying to think frantically of what to talk about. "Um... just think. Youll b able to go shopping after this... and no more morning sickness, and no more pain." He kept talking.Lexi nodded. "Great. Ok Mae. Just do what Damon said. Im sure this will go smoothly." She assured. But then she bit her lip and turned to look at damon in panic. She didnt know what to do. And honestly, childbirth scared her.
Mae laughed at his effort and sat up as she felt a big urge to push and tightened her grip on Torch's hand and Lexi's hand. Damon blinked and paled "why is this my job now?!" He slightly yelled and washed his hands and checked "Torch don't kill me...seriously not paying attention!" He felt the head "you are doing good I think!"
Torch winced when she gripped his hand like an iron claw. He gave an encouraging smile at her even though he felt like puking from the stress. He just kept talking with a quick warning glance at Damon.Lexi grimaced. "Sorry. I would help, but I dont know how." She said honestly. Then she turned back to Mae. "Keep it up." She encouraged. "Damon says your doing well. It wont be long." She promised. She didnt really know, but she could hope.
Mae couldn't even hear them or focus on what was around her, the pain was torture but she focused and pushed wanting to see the twins so badly...she fell back exhausted and breathing hard.Damon delivered the shoulders and it slid right into his hands he grinned "it's a boy!" The baby was screaming and he wrapped him up in a towel trying to get him warm.
Torch gasped with joy when he heard about his son. "Almost done Mae. One more." He promised. He held her hand tightly, watching Damon wrap up his son. His own son.Lexi grinned and moved back to damon. She carefully took the boy he had wrapped up and held him against her so Damon could catch the next one. Because apparently there were two. Lexi loved the children, and looking down at the boy she held helped her forget about how stressful the actual birthing had been.
Mae could barely lift herself up to push she was exhausted, she leaned into Torch "I can't..." She shook her head craning to see her baby boy that Lexi was holding. Damon frowned, the second baby wasn't moving down. He couldn't feel it at all "hold on Mae..." He looked at Torch with a worried look.
Torch looked at him, panicked. What was wrong with his girl and child? He bit his lip and put on a good face for Mae. "Yes you can." He encouraged.Lexi looked up, realizing that something was wrong. Her eyes widened and she sucked in a breath. So that Mae couldnt see, she mouthed. "Is everything alright?"
Damon rummedged through the first aid kit and swallowed "Mae, I'm going to save your baby...but this is going to not be fun..." He motioned for Torch to hold onto her tightly as he wiped alcohol wipes all over and took a deep breath before he cut.Mae jolted and tried to move away from Damon and cried out "Torch!"
Torch grimaced at her cry, but knew it was necessary. "Shh. Its ok. Its almost over darling. Almost done." He promised, gripping both her hands comfortingly and to keep her down as damon cut.Lexi snuck a peak at whan damon was doing and she immediately gagged and jerked her eyes away. The blood drained from her face and she tried to take deep breaths while looking at the baby.
Damon finished and pulled the baby girl out...but she wasn't crying he rubbed her chest fervently and frowned "Torch...can you give her some energy?..." Mae was starting to lose consciousness and slumped into the pillows not fighting anymore. Damon started on the sutures and swallowed "so sorry Mae..."
Torch nodded, taking the small baby girl. She looked so frail and tiny in his arms, it made him want to cry. He closed his eyes and slowly gave his baby girl some energy.Lexi bit her lip and forced herself to look up at mae. She almost cried out in shockand dismay. Mae was bloody and gaping and looked well... dead. Lexi went into complete and utter shock and she stared at Damon. "Did you kill her?" She asked. She started crawling towards Mae. "Why did you kill her!?"
Damon felt a pulse "she's not dead! I didn't kill her! She just passed out..." He covered her up and sighed running a hand through his hair, never again was he delivering a baby...what if he had done something wrong?London woke up, her eyes were big and brown she didn't cry though and grabbed onto Torch's finger with a tight grip.
Lexi relaxing against Damon, her head falling into his lap. She was weak and shaking from the stress. "Im sorry." She whimpered. "No one is ever having kids ever again." She whispered, traumatized. Torch smiled down at the little girl, love in his eyes. "Hey darling." He said, kissing her hand. His heart beat with love for his family.
Damon held her close and helped her to the couch and snuggled her lovingly "shhh it's ok..." He smiled at the perfect little boy and smiled "it's kind of worth it seeing these sweet things huh?"London nibbled his hand and yawned sweetly. Damon smiled "want to meet your son Torch?"
Lexi nodded slowly, hugging him. "Yeah... yeah... as long as Mae's alright..." she stammered, still a little stunned.Torch nodded enthusiastically, not looking up from the small girl in his arms. "Yes I would like to see him!" He agreed, pulling his finger out of London's mouth.
Lexi looked down, refusing to look at him. She couldnt. She had hurt him, and his words rang through her head. She was ashamed and torn at the same time.
