Quantum (quantumkatana) I find that if I read a book only on the weekends or maybe every 4 days (roughly speaking), then I lose track of what happened before.

And do you read multiple books concurrently? Right now I just finished the 4th book on my currently-reading list. So, that's 3 left and one is a manga series, so really only 2, which i more manageable. It's hard to make time to keep up with the storyline in 3 text-based books.

How about you?

GR Oliver | 479 comments If I put my story down for several days and go back to it, I lose track. I just go back a few chapters, and I'm back on track.

Presently, I'm reading two books. One in the evening, and other in the morning when I get. Since they're not broken up by days, I'm still on track. I've read 4 books at a time. Some books get boring and I pick up another. That of course is when I'm on a reading frenzy. I can't get enough in. Once that's over, I don't read but one at a time. The other thing is, I may not read a book for some time, because I'm involved in writing a story. That's reading all day.

M.L. I've read multiple books, but one will always emerge as the 'favorite' and I'll finish that one first and then go back to the other. I read almost every day, but not for long periods, not enough time, but that way I stay in the story.

Jim Vuksic | 362 comments I always am in the progress of reading a book; however, it usually takes me 1 or 2 weeks to finish it. There are just too may other interesting things to do. So far at least, I have never had a problem with remembering what I have read previously when I resume reading.

Kat I can't tell you where the hero of the book that I put down 2 weeks ago is currently at from the top of my head, but as soon as I pick it up again I'm right back in the story where I left off. It all comes flooding back as soon as the story starts flowing again in my mind.

I also read several books at the same time, although to be fair, it"s more like an onion.... I start book 1, start book 2, start book 3, start book 4 - finish book 4, finish 3, finish 2, finish 1. At least most of the time. It depends on my mood.

Kimberly (lovexkimberly) | 1 comments I'm with Kat on the first half. I may forget where I'm at when the book is out of my hands but as soon as I start reading I'm immediately engulfed in the story again.

I never read more than one book at once and I always found it odd that someone would, only because I could never see myself doing it. Although, lately I've been listening to audiobooks as well as reading a book when I get the chance. I suppose that means I do have the capacity. :P

Justin (justinbienvenue) Seeing as I don't read everyday yes. When I start reading the current book I've been reading I'll likely have to go back to catch up and remind myself what's been going on.
