Do you lose track of the story if you don't read it for a few days?

If I put my story down for several days and go back to it, I lose track. I just go back a few chapters, and I'm back on track. Presently, I'm reading two books. One in the evening, and other in the morning when I get. Since they're not broken up by days, I'm still on track. I've read 4 books at a time. Some books get boring and I pick up another. That of course is when I'm on a reading frenzy. I can't get enough in. Once that's over, I don't read but one at a time. The other thing is, I may not read a book for some time, because I'm involved in writing a story. That's reading all day.
I've read multiple books, but one will always emerge as the 'favorite' and I'll finish that one first and then go back to the other. I read almost every day, but not for long periods, not enough time, but that way I stay in the story.
I always am in the progress of reading a book; however, it usually takes me 1 or 2 weeks to finish it. There are just too may other interesting things to do. So far at least, I have never had a problem with remembering what I have read previously when I resume reading.
I can't tell you where the hero of the book that I put down 2 weeks ago is currently at from the top of my head, but as soon as I pick it up again I'm right back in the story where I left off. It all comes flooding back as soon as the story starts flowing again in my mind.I also read several books at the same time, although to be fair, it"s more like an onion.... I start book 1, start book 2, start book 3, start book 4 - finish book 4, finish 3, finish 2, finish 1. At least most of the time. It depends on my mood.
I'm with Kat on the first half. I may forget where I'm at when the book is out of my hands but as soon as I start reading I'm immediately engulfed in the story again.I never read more than one book at once and I always found it odd that someone would, only because I could never see myself doing it. Although, lately I've been listening to audiobooks as well as reading a book when I get the chance. I suppose that means I do have the capacity. :P

And do you read multiple books concurrently? Right now I just finished the 4th book on my currently-reading list. So, that's 3 left and one is a manga series, so really only 2, which i more manageable. It's hard to make time to keep up with the storyline in 3 text-based books.
How about you?
