SOLVED. I'm looking for a Young Adult book I read a while ago. Spoiler ahead... [s]

I don't really remember much I just loved the author and I'm trying to remember her or him. The book was about the murder of a girl and if I remember correctly her sister was the one who killed her. Another gut in the story figured it out when he realized that she had been in a mental institute when she was younger and had relapsed when she got electrocuted when changing a light bulb. I know she started seeing this guy that nobody else could see and that was another clue that the smart guy used to figure out she had gone crazy. I know in the end she ended up getting help and everybody else ended up living happily ever after. Please help if you have any idea, even if you think you know who the author might be please reply. Thanks!

I think you maybe thinking of Christopher Pike's "The Final Friends". It's a trilogy . They are listed on here by book("The Party, "The Dance" and "The Graduation".) All your details fit.

The trilogy is also listed under "Until the end" where you can read the whole trilogy in one book.
