Theme Requirements for the February 2017 contest:

The theme for this month is Irreconcilable Values:

Write a story that illustrates the theme of a society divided by diametrically opposed social, material and/or moral values.

Must be science fictional, or speculative.

Required Elements: different people seeing the same events with opposite interpretations; connections with starkly opposing realities

That's it. Have fun!

Just saw the following ad today. It appears you're in good company; it seems that switching to graphic novels is all the rage right now.

Too bad my drawing is like my singing...

Wires and Nerve, Volume 1 (Wires and Nerve #1)
by Marissa Meyer (Goodreads Author), Douglas Holgate (Illustrations)
4.36 · Rating Details · 2,069 Ratings · 639 Reviews
In her first graphic novel, #1 New York Times and USA Today bestseller Marissa Meyer follows Iko, the beloved android from the Lunar Chronicles, on a dangerous and romantic new adventure -- with a little help from Cinder and the Lunar team.

In her first graphic novel, bestselling author Marissa Meyer extends the world of the Lunar Chronicles with a brand-new, action-packed story about Iko, the android with a heart of (mechanized) gold. When rogue packs of wolf-hybrid soldiers threaten the tenuous peace alliance between Earth and Luna, Iko takes it upon herself to hunt down the soldiers' leader. She is soon working with a handsome royal guard who forces her to question everything she knows about love, loyalty, and her own humanity. With appearances by Cinder and the rest of the Rampion crew, this is a must-have for fans of the bestselling series. (less)

Ink 2 Quill (ink2quill) The story by Jack McDaniel called THE ERASER was very good and original. Very good job. It´s definitely in the top two for me for this month. Well done Jack.

Thanks John! I'm hoping it is picked but I'm not going to hold my breath! Regardless, it was a good writing exercise. I need all the practice I can get!
