Heroine is into Zibu - angelic script/symbols; I didn't know what it was and had to Google it. Can't recall if it is contemporary/YA/Suspense/ Fantasy/Dystopia but know it was not the Robin Hood Hacker series as this is what reminded me of the topic.

Possibly available as Amazon Prime Reading in Q4 2016? Think maybe the chapter breaks included some of the symbols. Know this is frightfully little to go on... Will post more if I can remember, but it is driving me positively CRAZY!! thanks for your help

I had initially asked this question on another group here because I thought it was possibly a recommendation from one of their threads. Someone suggested the Mad World series by Christine Zolendz. That is not either (although it looks good too).
