Chapter: 6- 8 (view spoiler)[ It seemed a bit unrealistic and weird that Beauty actually got so upset after finding out that Beast was the person she’s been talking to. Her whole attitude changed so fast and I was surprised. I thought she would at least be contempt.

I wonder what he’s going to try and hunt? If he needs her to be a hunter it most likely be to help brake the curse. I hope they befriend each other soon. I don’t like that Beast is trying to scare her into training, by threatening her family. (hide spoiler)]

I think the Fox meant that losing Beauty would destroy the Beast, although she doesn’t look at it that way. I think her hate is slipping away, but I do think that Beast should tell her that he didn’t kill her father. I know why he won’t do it, but I think he should (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[ I enjoyed reading this story. This was a nice twist on the Beauty and the Beast story that I’ve come to love. I grew up choosing Beauty as my favorite princess and I had no idea why. I have never completely watched the Beauty and the Beast original movie, so the first movie I saw was the one that came out this year.

I like the twist the author gave to the story. I was wondering how everything was going to come together in the end. I knew Beauty and Beast were going to be together of course, but I wasn’t sure how it was going to flow together. I’m glad that everyone ended up getting their happy ending. I can say that I did not guess that Yeva was the firebird. Even thought this book wasn’t my favorite one of Beauty and the Beast retellings, I still enjoyed it nonetheless.

I'm proud to say that I guessed Yeva was the Firebird but only at the end while she was telling the story to the Beast so just a few minutes before she understood it herself ^^

Beauty has always been my sister's favorite. I was more a fan of Hercules even if he is no princess or Mulan. But Yea definitely made me like Beauty more.

I get the feeling that Yeva and Solmir are not going to work out. Something about what she wants and the general lack of romance. Then when he kisses her goodbye it’s the worst description! I know she’s worried about her father and Beast is interesting. Almost like a spirit (refers to himself as “we”, etc. (hide spoiler)]

You can see Beast is starting to soften, though his motives are unclear. Finally, we see some sort of castle... an indication of the original story. Did she actually see Beast kill her father? I feel like I may have missed that detail somehow. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 6 (view spoiler)[ I almost wish that they made Solmir more like Gaston, so I could not like him. But honestly, he’s not a bad guy. Yes he’s asking for Yeva’s hand in marriage but he didn’t really notice her because of her beauty. He noticed her because she was different and that she talked about hunting. He’s willing to take care of her and her family which is a lot that he’s offering. I understand Yeva’s point of view. She doesn’t wanna be a wife and she doesn’t want to end up like the other girls in town. But I’m just saying that Solmir so far is not a bad guy. I guess we’ll just have to see what happens further in the book. (hide spoiler)]

I liked the ending where it emphasizes on this endless need and hunger for things we can’t or don’t have. It’s very relatable. I wish we learned more about the Beast’s world. It was barely explored in this book. But overall, a fun take on Beauty and the Beast. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 7 (view spoiler)[ This is a dark story! But, I am loving it! Beauty is great. She is an intelligent, strong woman not afraid to go alone into the forest and hunt. I like each and everyone of the characters. They are all interesting in their own way. The Beast is kind of creepy.

I find it really funny that her perfect match is Solmir. He wants a wife he can hunt with and talk hunting instead of one who is more of a 'lady'! And, yet, she does not want to be with him.

I also find it really twisted that she thinks the Beast is her ally when he had actually captured her!! (hide spoiler)]
