I can't remember - is anyone else joining us for Lightbringer thus far? Maybe we can bump that one to the 15th...

Added 4 BR in July. I'm catching up with everything I'm reading in June just to get buried again in July haha. At least everything I'm joining supports my ISC.

Careful we'll make you a mod with numbers like those. :)

Jenna and Emma have been busy with life so I was going to talk to Angela about adding somebody so you're as active as they get and willing so I added you. :)

You're already doing it minus adding books to the shelf and folder for topics.
I would have considered Margret as well but I like that I have the power to change her thread titles and she can't reciprocate. :)
In 3, 2, 1......YOU!

Thank you everyone! I'm absolutely thrilled. :D
And I love my mod nickname! I've always wanted to be Arwen.

Margret would have been a great pick, but I agree it's difficult to give up any kind of leverage haha.

Congrats on becoming a mod, Niki ^_^. You'll be great.

That's actually my sole purpose of reading WoT Liam, to get to the Sanderson ones xD
Haha I'm not going to lie - that's 50% of my motivation too lol. That's why I like that we're spacing them so far apart because I don't want them to be my sole focus. Glad to see you there for the first one at least, Petrik. :) and Liam too if you decide to join.

Aw thanks! I'm really glad I could help. ^_^ and me too!! I've already read the first of the omnibus, Jhereg, so I can attest that the BR will be a good one! :)

Congrats Niki! And while I'm flattered that you would consider me for role of mod, I think Niki is the better choice :) maybe in the future!

Honestly I didn't think you would have interest.
Regarding WoT. If you do audiobooks do it on audio. Kramer and Redding are as good as it gets. I did the entire series in 6 months minus the prequel which I did much later.
The best books in the series are the first three and the last three. The last three are of course the Sanderson books. To me Sanderson evened out Jordan's flaws while keeping the spirit of the story. Nynaeve in particular really grew as a character under Sanderson. Way less braid tugs which you hear us joke about. The final book was what a final book should be, pure awesome.

Agree, WoT is one of those series where I complained for like 5 books... yet now that I'm done I feel like I would re read it! I absolutely loved the first 3, and the last 3 were amazing in different but equal ways.
I went through Michael Kramer withdrawals after so bad though. And listening to Mistborn era 2 after didn't help because in my opinion, those books are the penultimate masterpiece in audiobooks.

Thank you! And that's comforting to hear you would read them again after all was said and done. I'm committed to finishing, so it's good motivation that it's worth the payoff. And I couldn't agree more about Kramer and Reading! I think Mistborn Era two is a masterpiece as well, especially for Wayne, but was wondering what your ultimate would be? :)

I haven't read Brandon's YA books and some of his other novellas like Snapshot Liam, but I caught up will all his Cosmere works and I miss seeing his epic climax sequences very bad... but hey, Oathbringer is coming this year, before we reach Memory of Light we'll have one of the most anticipated book coming this year!!
@Niki: it will be a super long journey.... xD
Petrik - Snapshot was awesome!!
Aside from Alcatraz, I believe I've also read everything except for these. I tried the first one several years ago and was like: meh. But several people have assured me that the beauty is in the story as a whole rather than individual works. It feels like the right time for me - I'm stubbornly committed, lol. For this looooooong journey.

I suppose I used the incorrect "second to none" version of penultimate. Haha. I'm going back to work in 3 weeks so I promise my IQ will increase again soon. I swear to god I'm smart... :S

I'm doing book 11 of WOT and besides book 10 I have really enjoyed all of them. Audio is definitely a great option.

Hahaha okay that makes sense. No worries - I know you're smart. ;) my concern was wondering what was better than wax and Wayne narration that I was missing out on lol. What do you do for a living?

Thanks Bill! I'm just popular like that haha.
I will definitely be doing these on audio. It's interesting to hear book 10 was an issue for you because most of the criticism I've heard venters around books 4-8.
