Unfortunately if it is a children's book it needs to be 25,000 words as the mini challenge follows the same book rules as the challenge. (Not a very nice present to give to your valentine's team... :o. )

Laura | 1144 comments Thanks, Karen. It's a better present than if I hadn't said anything and then they turned out not to get points for that hand, and therefore, the 10 hands after it, right?

Venecia | 131 comments ❤ Read up to ten books your valentine team has read in Feb or added in Feb of any year

What do we do if they Added it in Feb, but Read it in Sept? Can we still use it or does read override add?

Natalie | 234 comments For "Read up to fifteen books your valentine team has read that was first published in Feb of any year for 5 points each" does there need to be a read date? Or is being on the shelf good enough?

Can't remember if it was this thread or in the captain groups, this was uno pixie's answer

Uno Pixie has updated task for part one of the mini challenge

We've had questions about:

Read a book your valentine team has read in Feb or added in Feb of any year

To give more flexibility, we will allow the book to be on any shelf (not just the read shelf) provided the "added" date is in Feb of any year

Absolutely!

Yes that would count as it can be either added or read in Feb of any year

It doesn't need a read date (as I know some people don't always add them), but needs to be on their read shelf

Tip:
If you want to know a way to find books for this part here is what I do, but you may know of another way you can share?

- Go to the person's profile
- Click "compare books"
- On the right hand side of this page up the top are shelves. Change "your shelves" to "to-read" and "their shelves" to "read"
- Then you get (probably a short) list of books that are on your TBR that they have read. Then I just click into each book to check the "first published" date
:)

You can also use this link:
https://www.goodreads.com/user/compar...
And in your URL where it has the user number (in this case it is mine, 52624155), change that to the user your are looking at. So for our mod, Karen, her user name is 8460201-karen, so you would swap out the 52624155 in that URL for 8460201

Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1571 comments This was touched on in answering a previous question so sorry for the repeat, but I just wanted to verify I wasn't interpreting it wrong.

For "Bonus ❤ Read one book that was first published on the 14th of February of any year for 10 points" ... Can we still get the points for that one even if we don't finish the rest of the tasks in part one?

Yes you can still get the points :)

Venecia | 131 comments Shouldn't the max points for the Valentine mini be 320, if a team has completed all the tasks? One team has finished so far but the ranking file shows their points as 290.

It looks like the formula is not adding in the completion bonus.
