Alex | 2736 comments 1, 6-9 Done, Worldcat agrees.

2 Worldcat has 2000 for that ISBN, what is after page 2000?

3 Worldcat has 464 for that ISBN, what is after page 391?

4 Worldcat has 301 for that ISBN, what is after page 281?

5 Done, Worldcat agrees. Is it a hardcover?

10 There were some uncombined editions which I linked. This edition already had that page number (Worldcat agrees): https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

ETA: It would be really helpful, in future, if you include links to the records on GR that you want corrected.

Jacabaeus (jamcam9) | 215 comments Hi Alex, thank you for your assistance on those books.

2. Essays, index, and maps start at 1827 and continue until page 2181. There are a few pages after, truth be had, but they are unnumbered.

3. Nothing after page 391 - book ends. Seems I grabbed the incorrect ISBN-13. Here's the ISBN-10: 9653590030.

4. Nothing after page 281 - book ends and not abruptly.

5. Student edition - blue cover paper back.

10. I've switched to the updated edition.

I was uncertain if links were desired or not so I refrained from including them in order to keep things tidy. I will include them in the future.

Alex | 2736 comments 2. What's on the unnumbered pages? GR policy only excludes ads and previews (see here: GR Page Count Policy).

3. That's the ISBN10 that goes with that ISBN13. Is yours perhaps a different printing? If you're certain these are your book's ISBN, I will make the change.

4. Done. Seems worldcat has a reprint with corrections.

5. This is the edition on GR: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
It doesn't have a blue cover. If you upload a photo/scan of yours, we can make an ACE with it, if you'd like.

10. The detailed page break-down in that edition's description, makes me think page count for this should be 619. Could I bother you to check?

message 5: by Jacabaeus (new)

Jacabaeus (jamcam9) | 215 comments 2. After page 2181: List of maps, 9 pages of maps, two pages of indexes to maps.

3. I have the book on the table next to me and I have confirmed the ISBN10.

4. Thank you.

5. Seems the contents are the same, all that is different is the price and cover as the run mine is from was made for law/paralegal students.

10. Final page of the index on my copy is page 604 with nothing further.

Thank you!

Alex | 2736 comments 2. Updated to 2193 to include everything you mentioned.

3. Done, according to your information.

5. Is this your cover? https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

10. I don't really know about Folio Society editions, I'll ask around about this. Leaving as is for now.

Thank you, for looking up everything I asked you!

Jacabaeus (jamcam9) | 215 comments 2. Thank you.

3. Thank you.

5. No. I can't find a copy of the cover online. I suggest that it remain as is.

10. They're odd books with little registered information, especially about changes in editions. Motion seconded.

Happy to help, I'm just trying to make the database as complete as it can be. How does one end up being a goodreads librarian?

message 8: by Alex (new)

Alex | 2736 comments 5. It is not necessary to find a cover online, if you can take a picture/scan of your own copy.

Well, that's a great motivation to put on the application: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/1...

And here's the Librarian Manual, if you want to get a taste of it. :D

Don't be discouraged if you don't hear back. As I understand it, they add librarians on an as-needed basis. Good luck!
