This is quite a good list, makes me think of the ones that I haven’t done yet – kind of like a bucket list. I could add a few lines of things that I have done that I think are quintessentially Australian activities:

Camped on the beach
Parents had your photo taken at a Pixi photo stall in a shopping centre

Been referred to or called someone a Bogan
Given a friendly steering wheel wave to oncoming vehicles in the outback
Seen a crocodile in the wild
Cooked or eaten a hot Christmas lunch/dinner while it’s 35⁰C outside
Stood out in the rain because it hasn’t rained for awhile
Stood at the Tip of mainland Australia and had a photo taken at the sign

Seen a koala in the wild - yes, I used to live in the Redlands area in Brisbane which is a koala belt and they were in the trees in our street

Worn a pair of thongs (flip flops) - yes, even my good work shoes are basically thongs
Visited Cape York - no, it's not far away but not really my thing
Held a snake - yes, and often have them in my yard, one huge scrub python was in residence for months

Ever seen/been in a cyclone - yes, I've lived here for almost 20 years, so we get about 3 per year, I had my son in amongst Cyclone Larry (pregnant women giving birth during cyclones is a common thing, something to do with the pressure in the atmosphere)
