SOLVED. 90's crude/crass humor "chapter book" possibly part of series, most likely a spoof of another series. [s]

This sounds really familiar (and I was a kid in the 90s too), but I can't remember what it was either, if it's the same book! What I do remember about the one I'm thinking of is that the boy's farts were set off by someone saying a word or words that rhymed with 'fart', e.g. 'Depart', which I'm sure was one of the words used, which led to all sorts of awkward situations. Does that sound familiar...?
It was also because of a curse that was put on it, and the magic show bit sounds familiar too... Damn, another one that's going to wind me up if I can't find out what it was! I did read a lot of Goosebumps when I was a kid and it does seem to me like it could be an original one of those, not just a parody, but you said you don't think it was.
Yay! :D I feel.reassured too, even if we don't know what it was. I'll trust your judgement on the Goosebumps thing, I couldn't remember if they were crude or not. I'll let you know if I find anything else out about this... It's been a hell of a long time though!
Was it part of the Barf-o-rama series? Maybe The Splat in the Hat?https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barf-...

Wooo!!! As soon as you mentioned gross out humour, I remembered some bizarre books I read as a kid, did some googling, and hurrah! Mystery solved!

Wiki is showing me there are only two, but I swear I saw more then that when I was a kid.
Or could be something similar. A quick google search reveals random book series like 'Grosslumps' and 'Ganderlumps'
If it's anything I'm assuming it's a Goosebumps parody.
