Finished The Private Patient (Adam Dalgliesh, #14) by P.D. James which was excellent! I posted my review.

Thanks for the update, Danell :)
Did you see the movie?

Danell (danellbookworm) | 685 comments I believe I did see the movie years ago and if it is the movie I am thinking of, the book was different, especially the ending. Might have to watch the movie again, but it really spooked me, will have to have a pillow ready!

Hannibal the movie had a different ending than the book.

Rachel | 3525 comments I don't remember much about the movie red dragon- i do remember liking it and that it was creepy but i need to watch it again. i think there are actually 2 movies based on the book- one is mindhunter starring the guy from csi (i didn't see this version) and red dragon starring edward norton and i think ralph fiennes.

i also don't remember much about the movie hannibal other than i didn't like it-not sure i even watched the whole thing.

Red Dragon was awesome. One of the best of the Hannibal films. Manhunter is the earlier movie, not Mindhunter.

Danell (danellbookworm) | 685 comments Read The Iron King (The Accursed Kings, #1) by Maurice Druon which works for #1 in the challenge.

Saw World War Z over the weekend, read that book for the spring challenge I believe. Thought the movie was better than the book.

Hope to watch Red Dragon, someday.

Christine | 798 comments I have another book to add to my challenge, a book with color in the title, Dream of the Blue Room
I think a lot of people did not like this on GR but I found it hauntingly beautiful. It took me to a place I literally can never see, the Yangtze River before the dam blocked and submerged so much of China's culture and history. There are some tough subjects discussed in the book, not always an easy thing to do.

Christine | 798 comments Danell just reminded me that the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich is set in New Jersey. I just read Explosive Eighteen at the beginning of August. So I can add it to my challenge, woohoo. i may complete the summer challenge after all. Thanks Danell!!

I loved the book and the movie. Kathy Bates and Jessica Tandy were amazing in the movie. They brought both characters to life for me.

Christine | 798 comments Another book for my challenge, The Summer Tree (The Fionavar Tapestry, #1) by Guy Gavriel Kay

Danell (danellbookworm) | 685 comments Read Moonlight. I know there are a few days left until the challenge is finished, however with my schedule will not be able to read anymore books at this time. As always am looking forward to the next challenge!

Fried Green Tomatoes was a great movie, may have to read the book! Loved the part in the movie when Kathy Bates rammed the younger womans car in the grocery store parking lot and told her that she had better insurance!
