And Then There Were None
question
Who did you think the killer is>??
Definitely didn't think it was who it ended up being - I mean, I don't think there was any way for readers to even suspect him.
I read it a while ago, but I think (I think) that I suspected Thomas Rogers and/or Ethel, Isaac Morris, and maybe U. N. Owen at the very beginning.

I thought it was Vera Claythorne, and the fact that she stayed alive for a very long time made me think that I was right lol
We read it in class, and before we started reading we watched the trailer for the 1945 film version. In the trailer, the butler plays the piano, so it was kind of a running joke that it was the butler- it's always the butler. So, all the way until Mr. Rodgers dies, we all joked that it was him.
Me, though, I always thought it was Lombard.
Me, though, I always thought it was Lombard.
At first I guessed Lombard, but once Wargrave died I knew who it was. I'd read a murder-mystery story similar to this one that taught me to never rule someone out unless you actually see them die.
I thought it was Vera too.. I didn't like that you couldn't really know who the killer was..
When I read the book I was so confused when the last shot was fired. I didn't know if Vera was the murderer, or if she killed the murderer. Then I found out it was somebody I thought was dead. This just shows how advanced my mind is ;)
I thought it was Vera from the start, I essentially just chose someone and stuck with them, but ofcourse, after Wargrave died it was hard for me to see how Vera could've done it...
I'd already seen the film of this brilliant book and yet I still guessed the Doctor! I thought the book would be different to the film. Nearer the end, however, I knew for certain it was sneaky old Wargrave. What a ruthless killer he was! Although- why did Vera kill Lombard??? I sort of know why but I'd like a second opinion on the matter.
