On 22 April, geeks from around the country will be gathering in DC and other cities to show support for science in the face of an increasingly hostile political environment. (If you disagree with this premise, that's great, but please try not to derail the thread.) I'm sure this is an issue dear to many people here -- and in fact, it probably affects several members' jobs -- so I figure local S&L brigades might use this as an opportunity for gatherings. Since this is going to be such a big event, it'll be an opportunity for people who live outside the major cities to justify making a trip.

My only problem is a suspicion that you are doing this too soon - you won't change Trump's mind (even if you can find where he has hidden it) so this sort of campaign might be better waiting until even the present Trump supporters start to see what a disaster they have created.

Will be proud to march in Chicago! Marching not only for science, but to keep dystopia in fiction rather than current events.
