help creating a "Series" on goodreads & amazon

Ya know, I'm embarrassed. I have a series, both here and on Amazon, but for the life of me I can't remember how I did it.... Damn blasted memory! It is possible though. Have you thought of going to the Goodreads Librarian group and see if one of them can help you?
To make a new series in Goodreads, first you need to have librarian status. On the book's page it will have a section about the book with 'edit details' at the bottom. Click that and toward the bottom is where you can add a new series. Enter the details and save.In Amazon, the ability to create a series is in the book set-up. Where you enter the title, author, etc, you can add a series title and book number. You can do this in both KDP and CreateSpace.
Goodreads will group your series books if you ask. You have to follow the format of title followed by the series name in parentheses with the volume number. You can denote the series yourself, but only a Goodreads librarian can group them. Amazon is a bit more tricky. They may do this automatically if you follow their format, but if they don't, you can send a request to support and they'll group them.

I seldom speak against Amazon, but this is one little thing that drives me bananas. If you have a series, but the books are not numbered, you can't enter it as a clickable series. I have tried.

Even when you fill out the metadata correctly (series title and number), there's no guarantee that you'll automatically get a "fancy" series page.
For each of my series, I had to contact them, and give them the ASINs and series order, so it's essentially a duplication of effort.

I believe there is a way to make a series on amazon too... can anyone point me in the direction of a good how-to guide?
