Laura Thornton (felinemon) | 4 comments Hello,

I've written a trilogy that currently does not appear as a series on my Author page. The three books, in order are:

Destined to Lead: Damage https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Destined to Lead: Healing https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Destined to Lead: Redemption https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

If someone would be kind enough to help me out with this, I'd greatly appreciate it! Please and thank you,

Laura Thornton

It might take some time to show up on your profile, queues are backlogged

Alex | 2736 comments Edited titles to GR standards (i.e. series title in parenthesis).

FYI, series showing up on author profile pages is a caching issue, and has nothing to do with queues, backlogged or otherwise.

...Not sure if this really matters to anyone besides me, but I would rather the titles be "Destined to Lead: Damage" and "Destined to Lead: Healing", etc, as that was how I intended them to be read. If that's just not how things work here, that's fine, but I would definitely prefer it.

Also, thank you for making sure everything's up to snuff. I appreciate it.

Thanks for supplying the technical term. Dose this mean the same, that it takes time and it sorts itself?

Alex | 2736 comments Sorry Laura, it's GR policy. And it makes sense, because, now that the series has been added, your title would read e.g. Destined to Lead: Damage (Destined to Lead, #1). The information is repeated and can feel cumbersome. In longer titles, of course, this is an even bigger problem - which is why the policy exists.

I understand. Thanks anyway!

Yes, essentially, but for completely different reasons. Author pages are cached -- that is, they have stored data, rather than updating immediately. The cache updates roughly every 24-48 hours.

Deletes go into a queue, and get processed in order. When the queue is short, that can be minutes or even seconds. When it's long, it takes somewhat longer.

Thanks for clarifying that.
