Thank you very much. These list are great!
This one is directed at a younger audience I believe (I read it when I was probably twelve) but deals with some heavier themes. It's After Iris and it has some sequels, if I remember correctly.
YA Stranger with My Face The Dragon Prince series by Melanie Rawn has a couple of sets of twins in it, one where one dies very young and another who dies as an adult.
