I'm glad I'm not the only one! I so love classics, but they seem to take FOREVER!

They do for me too. I think it's the use of "Old English," because I'm used to modern-day speech being used in books.
That sounds about right. Ironically, that is the aspect that draws me to them. I personally tend to read too quickly, so I end up not understanding or missing parts of the story . Classics force me to slow down a bit and just enjoy the ride.
Looks like we need some vowels. Anyone working on a book that will work for E or A? If not, I can start one tonight.
Actually, I just looked at one of the books I started today, and it will work for E if the author's last initial works.Anyone want to read something that will work for another vowel?
Let's see, I'm reviewing a book tonight called Off the Ice, so that will get us an "O." Do you think the first word is "Call"? Because I can't think of too many words that are 5 letters and end in two L's.
Call, tall, fall, fell bell, sell, ball, pill, bill, sill... That's one reason why I was thinking some vowels would help us out... though some of those probably don't make sense for a book title. We could at least narrow down the list.I have one more chapter left in my book, but will finish tomorrow. Can barely keep my eyes open.
I am so very sorry that I have been MIA friends! I caught that awful cold that has been going around where I live. I finally finished Little Women, and now plan to read a few shorter novels. I don't have any guesses yet on our puzzle, but I'll be thinking!

Hope you are feeling better soon!
Hope you are feeling better soon!
Feel better soon, girl!Team, I was thinking the author was James, but then I noticed there is no "e" there. Also, we're down to two vowels for that first word of the title. I'll be finishing my "i" book tonight, so hopefully that will help us.
Any ideas on what it might be or things we can rule out?
I think I found our book.Last weekend was swamped for me, but now I'm on Spring Break from my tutoring job, so I'm hoping to fit two or three books in.
How are y'all coming along on your current reads?
Yes, that "D" was incredibly helpful. Once I saw those two in the last name, I knew it was Jody Hedlund. And thankfully, there was only one title that worked with our revealed or not-in-this-puzzle letters. :)What's up next for you, Staci? I am currently working on The Elusive Miss Ellison by Carolyn Miller.
Ooh! I am looking forward to that one!!!I am reading non-fiction right now. It's a book about prayer.
Sounds lovely! I have a Bible study on prayer that I need to get to sometime soon. I hope you enjoy the non-fiction book you're reading. :)
We just got a new puzzle, y'all! I'm trying to power through a couple of books this weekend. Will anyone else have time to do the same?I'm loving this game and wish I had more time to read to help us out. Life is so busy!
Does that last word of the title look like "street" to you? Any ideas as to a full title or a first name that begins with "S" but that doesn't have an "R" or "E"?
Hello, I have just joined the group and would like to introduce myself. I am Sue Raymond, author, blogger, and reviewer. I also have wrote a fantasy under the pin name of Lady Laindora. I would love to join in but not quite sure where to start.
Wow! I've been a busy lady the past week or two! I hope to be of more help over the coming weeks.
Welcome Sue! The best place to start is to introduce yourself on the "Welcome to CFD" thread in this group. This is a great community, I know you'll enjoy being a member.

Actually, Grace, this is not CFD. It's Christian Fiction Bloggers. Sue, I'd start at the "Welcome!" thread under the "general" category on the group's home page. So glad to have you here!
Oh, girls, what are we going to do??? I've got a book I'm trying to finish tonight or tomorrow that will work for L, B, or F. What are y'all close to finishing?
Nothing for me as I just finished a book yesterday. Lots of books for no letters with our current puzzle...,
Staci wrote: "Hi Grace! There is no G in the puzzle. Want to select another letter?"Grace, please forgive my double stating this over on the puzzles/reviews thread. I had not checked in here before commenting over there. :)
Emily wrote: "This puzzle is a killer."Yes. And I read some in a book I might not finish tomorrow. But still hopeful for the other one. :)
This was a fun game ladies! I am sorry I wasn't very active for the last leg. Even though we didn't win, I am proud of our team. #CoverBugBookwormsForever
