I am done with 34 pages that is about 5% of the book.. No comments yet With the busy schedule of the coming month really hoping to steal some time for reading

Hang on a bit... and then you will love it...This is a little tricky one to read.... you will go back and re read to understand few lines... but eventually you will get the hang of it :)

Reading is slow as I am reading Flood of Fire too. But yes the narrative is....Oooooh!!! it's like listening to a very chatty friend share a story about his group of friends ;-))

I agree.. I cant imagine anyone going through such "Punishments"
But will Harold and Julia bring in new changes in Jude's life?

Phew!!! I have finally finished reading this book.. gosh so much pain and misery in the book, I did not expect that at all. Shall we move on Deepa? While we decide on the next book, I have to catch up on my reading target, I am four books behind :- 0
On to our next book.Deepa and I will be reading Such a Long Journey. I have read Mistry's other two novels and have grown to like his style of writing. Let's see how this one goes..
Little life and now Long Journey... nice selection of books we are doing na.... I have read A fine balance by Mistry and I like books with Indian backdrop, Hope to enjoy this one!!
Reading in progress...Have completed 60% but I like A Fine balance better. The start was real slow but it picked up the pace with "the packet" so it's not bad, i just wish it was better.

I just completed this book, Its no where close to A fine balance, but its not justice to compare, however I felt something was missing in this book, that karisma of A fine balance perhaps!!!
Gosh its been two months already, since our last book. 🤓Without further ado, our next book is It.
Deepa and I plan to get really spooked this time.

Finished chapter 9, still a long way to go but am already spooked 😨😅
Am in the final act and the last part is such a rush 🎢.Hope you found time to read @Deepa
In the end "It"was not what I had expected. There were some really good moments, the thrill of anticipating a great finish, great writing and all..... but I thought it fell flat (view spoiler). Oh well! another day another book.Speaking of books, Deepa and I can really use some buddy read recommendations, help us fellow bookies.

Have completed 50% .So far its good, I am hoping that Agatha would put her investigative skills and solve the mystery of Delia's death but i wonder if plot will take a totally different course.

Done... 3.5 stars not a bad read, it was a women's fiction but I was hoping it had some " crime solving" angle in it.
Yes I agree.. though it was a good read, i expected more because of the name Agatha and it was nowhere close to what i expected...
Our next read is Flowers for Algernon.This book has been on our tbr list for sometime so we hope to really enjoy reading it.
