Author name written wrong - can't combine

I just added the forthcoming German edition of The Drowning Game. Next I wanted to combine the new book with the existing editions, and found I couldn't because the first name is written differently.
On the German edition - as well as on the book covers of the English editions and the author's homepage! - it is 'LS' without dots. But for each English edition, I found that the name is written as 'L.S.', though that appears to be wrong.

As I didn't dare change all existing titles - what is the right way to proceed?! Change the German version (which feels kind of wrong) or change the other books?

Any help or clarification on this subject is deeply appreciated!

The author's goodreads account is L.S. so it would need to have both dots in order to go the correct author profile. Proper goodreads name formatting requires initials to have dots after each initial.
