~ All Together Now: A February Group Challenge ~
We’re going to see if we can all pitch in and spell something.

For February let’s try the words   B.E   M.Y.   S.W.E.E.T.I.E.   P.I.E.   L.I.S.A.   K.L.E.Y.P.A.S.   V.A.L.E.N.T.I.N.E.

RULES: Only ONE book per person may be submitted. You may reserve your letter now, on a first come, first serve. However, you may change your mind later in the month, just let us know as soon as possible.

Read a book with a title, series name, author’s (first or last name), character (first or last name), that begin with the letter that correspond to letters of the words we have chosen. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc.).

Example of Spell-It-Out in Post #2 below. If you need to know, here is info on how to Add a Book or Bookcover Link.

Sharlene, they are quite dark in tone but I loved the first two books in the series.

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts as I have not read this one yet. I'm somewhat behind with the Mackenzies and McBrides series and need to catch up!

Sharlene, ..."

I remember reading Maire Claremont's Mad Passions books, which were very dark, and I did love those books. I have heard nothing but good things about Kerrigan's books, so I look forward to reading them.

Sorry Lisa Kay...I did not notice your comment until today. Yes, I have seen the audio for the first few while perusing Audible...I'm really starting to get into audio books (something I wasn't sure I would like) so I just may have to check out the Mary Balogh ones too. Have you listened to any of them yet?

message 31: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments No, I haven't, Kathie. I'm way behind on my audio... and my eBooks... and my paperbacks & hardbacks! LOL!

I do have the first three, though. Love them all, but especially love the last one. I'm so worried they are going to stop the audio productions before they get to Wulfric's story.

Actually, parts of his story are in some of the other books; MB do NOT recap. I kind of like that, but then people who just pick the last one don't know him like I do those who have read the whole series.

message 32: by kathie (new)

kathie (kathie-ellen) | 117 comments Oh, I have read the whole series and I agree about Wulfric's story. In my review I said that I always thought Alleyne was my favorite but getting to know Wulfric better in his story changed that....my favorite in the series for sure. Now I have to think about going back and listening...everyone raves about Rosalyn Landor but I have not listened to her yet. I hate to say this, but I seem to prefer the men I have listened to...Nicholas Boulton, Alex Wyndham. But I did enjoy Kirsten Potter when I listened to "The Spymaster's Lady" and a few of Elizabeth Hoyt's Maiden Lane books with female narrators. However, I'm relatively new to audio so my experience is limited for sure. I'm trying to fix that though.

message 33: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments Oh, I haven't listend to anything by Nicholas Boulton or Alex Wyndham. I'll have to check something of theirs out.

message 34: by kathie (new)

kathie (kathie-ellen) | 117 comments You should...I love them both. I might listen to them read the phone book. Alex has done several Stella Riley & Lucinda Brant books and Boulton Laura Kinsale's.

Molly (molly32) | 40 comments I read Seven Minutes in Heaven (Desperate Duchesses by the Numbers, #3; Desperate Duchesses, #9) by Eloisa James and although Eloisa James is one my favorite authors - Seven Minutes in Heaven was not my favorite book of hers - Edward Reeve was an impulsive jackass, who didn't get redeemed in my eyes and I couldn't really connect with Eugenia. I'll 100% get the next book in the series, but this one was not my cup of tea. 3 disappointed stars.
