SOLVED. YA Fantasy about a girl who can sense the location of dragon eggs. [s]

I read this book about 5 to 10 years ago. The story is about a young girl with the ability to sense dragon eggs. This ability leads her into adventures and trouble throughout the book.
At the beginning of the book, she is traveling to a city with a dragon egg to either a school or training place where she can learn more about her gift. During this journey she's attack by a group of creatures which leads her to hiding in a cavern, where she finds herself drawn by her gift to find another dragon egg. I believe this is the first book in a series, but when I read this book, it was a new release and the only one available.
