I guess I have been reading a lot of vamp books lol
Shane "Scarecrow" Schofield from Matt Reilly's high octane action books. He so needs the love of a Black Woman. Me. LOL!
dreamwild1985 wrote: "edward from the twilight series should've been paired with someone black...bella should've been a sista :-P lol"LMAO.
I totally agree with you. ;)
dreamwild1985 wrote: "love me some edward... hey danielle, we need to get giselle to join team edward! give the wolf pack a run for their money, lol"
I'm Team Edward all the way, but darn if Taylor Lautner doesn't make me reconsider joining Team Jacob lol.
Lol @ the Edward vs Jacob debate. I'd have to say Edward all the way. There's nothing like a brooding, hot vamp. Now regarding the original topic, I would have loved to see Zsadist, Wrath, or Tohrment from J.R. Ward's BDB series with a sista, but that didn't happen. There's still hope for Tohr, I guess, since his book isn't out yet. I'm kind of saddened that she hasn't added more characters from different backgrounds to the novels, and I know I would love the series even more if she did.
I would have liked to see any of Wroth Brothers from the IAD series in an interracial pairing as well.
Delaney, have you read the latest BDB book? I think she plans to give the Moors their own books. I would guess that they're Berber, but she was kind of vague, so I'm not sure. I can't wait to read more about them.

I gave up after Vishous since I really disliked that book which sucks because I was looking forward to his story the most after Zsadist's.
So that means I still have to read Phury's and Rehv's books and the Insider's guide.
The Moors are Black vampires? I thought that she indicated at the very beginning of the series that the all of the Vamps come from Eastern Europe (correct me if I'm wrong).
Yeah, I was kind of disappointed with V's book since his romance was a little weak and the ending was really weak. I felt the same about Phury's romance, and I still didn't like him in his own book, but I loved all the other storylines in that one. Rehv's book is great, imo. There are other storylines, but the romance and characters are all developed and there's no wacky deux ex machina just to give the main couple an HEA.I don't know about the origins of the Brothers. I think I read some vague hint about their language or accents or aristocracy originating in Eastern Europe, or something like that.
The Moors, however -they're the bouncers at Zero Sum- are not vampires. :D They're another race that she's introduced. I don't think they're black. I could be wrong, but the signs seem to point to Berber. I guess they could also be Arab or black though. "Moor" has always been a very vague -sometimes insulting- term used by Europeans to refer to a big group of Easterners because they didn't know better. Not that I think Ward means it in an insulting way. These guys are long-lived, so it's not unusual that the Brothers would refer to them as Moors. Maybe she'll clarify in the next book.

Well, Maya. I must say I'm normally a werewolf/shapeshifter girl when it comes to paranormal heroes, but Edward, now he's something. I do have a few other vamps that make me cheat on my shifters, as well.

Those are good suggestions. I wish that Ward and Cole's books were multicultural too. But I guess the Moors (Shadows) are Ward's attempt to go multicultural

Noah Clayborne from Julie Garwood's books: Heartbreaker, Mercy, etc. To me, he needed a black heorine.
