I recently read this book. It is written from the perspective of what was going on in Jesus's time yet told in a more modern voice.
Many of the parables are mentioned as well as the reason Jesus taught that way.
This book had a way of calming me and reminding me that no matter what I am going through Jesus went through much worse.
I also found the author's background intriguing and maybe in a way that helped him look at things from a slightly different perspective than others.
I'm just sharing about a book that I read and enjoyed. Each individual is on their own journey.
Blessings to all.
