SOLVED. Which Clive Cussler book is this? [s]

I know it's a Clive Cussler book, not one of his earliest or latest. All I can remember is the vessel gets attacked, it has scientists on board so possibly a NUMA vessel. The vessel is boarded and the bad guys are going room to room shooting everyone. The female in distress escapes as she doesn't have a room mate, she hears the shots and hides her suitcases and herself under the bed. The bad guys then scuttle the boat but she is rescued in the nick of time by the hero.

A wild guess would be one from the series about a rich tennis playing widow and her new love, somebody or other Cross who is the boss of the family's security team.
