Feedback Survey - Looking for your thoughts!

Hi all,

Happy New Year!

I've been moderating this group for a few months now and I've noticed that while we've seen some great growth in the membership (we're now over 500 members!), it's been quite a challenge to get people to actively participate in the group.

SO, I've put together a quick survey - it's really not long at all - to get your thoughts on what you like/don't like to help shape how the group looks in 2017. This is for everyone, even if you've only just joined.

There's no deadline for completion, I'll leave it open for a few weeks to see how many people fill it out, and close it if it goes quiet for a while.

Please do take a look, I want to make sure we have a group that's active and interesting to be part of!

All responses will be anonymous unless you choose to leave your name, and won't be shared outside of this group. If you don't want to complete the survey, we also have the suggestion box thread which you're very welcome to use instead.

Hi all,

Thank you so much to all who have provided feedback, it's been really helpful.

Apologies to those in particular who have joined over Christmas/New Year and are wondering why there isn't a lot going on - and no Jan/Feb group reads. Hopefully you can understand my decision not to keep ploughing on with the group reads format when it seemed like very few people were interested; that is until I at least asked you guys for feedback!

I'm going through all the survey responses and will get back to you with some new ideas in February.

In the meantime please remember this group isn't mine, it's yours! Start some new threads if you want to interact with each other, or jump in on existing ones. If you have a book you desperately want to read, why not ask another member to join you? Or if you're just looking for suggestions, try our bookshelves or put an open call for recommendations from other members. Please don't feel you have to wait for me while I'm busy with my head in survey data :p

I hope you'll stick around, I promise I haven't given up on the group and disappeared - look out for some new bits and pieces in February.

Thanks for all of your feedback everyone! I've taken it on board and come up with a new plan for the group in 2017
