No Such Dalliance is a classical literary novel, a parable of the mind; explorations of human morality, observations of society, original poetry, and philosophical essays are all included in the narrative itself.
Harrison Travers is a bartender in 19th century Manchester, England. During a shift at the tavern, he meets a publication editor for the town newspaper who convinces him to begin writing again after having given up the dream. The daughter of one of the wealthiest families in town, a Miss Adelaide Deveaux, joins Harrison in his efforts.
Follow Harrison's journey through his transformation from a struggling bartender to a successful writer whose work is known all around Europe, alongside his own rise in society, until a choice places his career and even his life in jeopardy.

Cool to hear from someone else in the same boat. I'll add you to my Watt Pad to-read list. The story sounds excellent. And its got a solid rank, so you obviously know what you're doing.

The Tavern Keeper’s Tale
Buehler's just a regular mook, a bar owner making book on the side. Good life. Until Freddy knocks, sending Buehler's life sideways.

A stand-alone tale from the novel Livewire Voodoo . It's a ghost story, with a touch of noir. To me, it symbolizes how greed and anger can bind people spiritually. But I also like old, tough-guy gangster movies, truth be told. :-)

I'm re-writing the WIP I have on Wattpad, so I won't link just now. Happy to meet new Wattpadders though, here or there!

Yeah. I'm one of those rare older folks who are tech savvy, but like most older folks just don't know what's fresh. I mean. I still think Twitter's new, but in internet years it like listening to music on 8-track tapes. :-)

I've just frozen at a certain point with social media. Snapchat came along and I was just 'no thanks, full up, got all the social media I need. Cannot take on board another one, fed up with it.'

I think that's more it than anything. I don't go ga-ga over the newest thing. For instance, smart phones. Had a Blackberry for work, loved it. And while the first iPhone was cool, I kept a flip phone for personal use for years. Then we went Androids.
Not worth it. So we went back to old-school flip phones last year when our contract was up. We saved big -- think it was over $70/ month.
But, I keep the old android phone on hand to connect to WiFi when I'm out and about.
Problem is, the majority of WattPad users are young, writing YA fiction. Ergo, I'm a frog in a tadpole pond.
Since I know there are WattPad users like me, I started this thread to post links to your works. I will post links to specific works if others begin posting, but for now, here’s a link to my WattPad profile: https://www.wattpad.com/user/LeoWalsh4
