How to get a massive surge in exposure

Does it have to be fantasy romance? Or could it be other kinds? Are you looking for sweet stories or are darker themes allowed?
More info please!
There would have to be a coordinating author who sent out the copies once winners were chosen. The individual authors would sent files to that co-coordinator, or at least that's how I'd do it.
My book is somewhat hostile to the genre as it currently stands. It's purpose is to oppose much of what those books stand for. I can't imagine them wanting to package their books with mine or promoting our books together.

Ha! That would be funny, or perhaps sad. No. It's not hostile to romance. It's mostly hostile to the manipulative and (in my opinion) misogynistic approach that is advocated almost universally in the genre, especially putting women down or trying to make them question their worth. Almost all the books treat being a nice guy as something to overcome, as a liability. I also go against the common tactic of pretending to be some amazing stud with endless confidence. Basically, I think that most of the books on the market, if followed, would turn guys into creeps. My subtitle indicates a lot of what I think about the genre as it currently stands: "How to be Successful With Women Without Becoming a Creep"

Emma wrote: "So you have a romance book, that is hostile to romance? In what way? I'm intrigued!"Naw, it's a how-to for "nice guys" - everything I'm not (grin)
Jonathan should be promoted far and wide.
All's fair in love and war. That includes Boy Scouts.

Hey Emma -- GOOD Question!
(Sorry for the delay, we had a massive snowstorm in Portland and I've been traveling. Tough! Back now to answer any other questions.)
***UPDATE****
Darker themes are a definite in. And it doesn't have to be specifically fantasy romance. It can be romance or fantasy, or anything in between. Whatever readers will want to read within the broad scope of liking fantasy & romance.
**Multiple authors will contribute, and we'll all promote, but one reader will win the entire collection. Emma has it exactly right. I'll coordinate the giveaway and we'll all get the exposure.
Hi Montgomery :) a giveaway bundle is a great idea ... Were you planning on using rafflecopter or some other method to collect email addresses so we can all grow our lists? How do you see the huge giveaway bundle working? I write dark urban fantasy - with a romantic element and am interested :)
My friend did a very large bundle like this. They sold theirs for 99c and got on the USA today best selling list. The theme was 'shifter' but there were plenty of stories not shifter related that were in there. She writes shifter books. At 99c, it was easy to get lots of people to buy it and they had some bigger name authors in there. So, this is definitely something I think would be useful/helpful.
Hi Kim, I'm using KingSumo to hopefully launch a viral giveaway. So emails addresses are collected, and we can also get exposure on social media by adding extra entries for likes and follows. I'll be setting up a group facebook page so we're all getting the exposure from that!
Nat-- YES! That's awesome to hear! It can be a really great way to spark readership. Are you interested in participating?
L.C. wrote: "I would love to participate but how does it work? What kind of copy do I send?"Hey L.C! Just send me a copy of your book and we'll check it out to see if it fits, and let you know! You send out a pdf, mobi, or epub to info@freeflyingpress.com
I can email you with more specific details!
Bum. I do scifi, contemporary, paranormal but no fantasy. Unless you count Christmas fairies. With attitude.
Maybe not.
I wish you luck Montgomery et al.

My books are all IR contemporary romance and (yep!) thrillerotica. Would they be right for this? Thanks in advance.
If you're still accepting submissions, my coauthor Vanessa Mozes and I are interested in submitting a copy of Exchanged to the bundle.
I have a new Contemporary Romance/Suspense/Saga two book series that I launched (both books) last week in kdp. $2.99 each or free on KU. Would love to help other authors, donate both books, announce the giveaway in my NL, etc. Carol Devine
Well, now that it's July, 2017, I'd like to know if this bundle thing worked and if there will be another one, this time with fantasy--not necessarily romance. Science fantasy, science fiction, straight fantasy.
Hey, this is a really cool idea. Did you already do it? If so, is anyone organizing another round? I'd love to get involved with a fantasy/adventure/romance
if the first time around didn't go through, would anyone else be interested in giving it another go? 10 authors, 10 different people marketing the same bundle. I think any type of fantasy would be a good start.benefits of a mailing list? I just hosted my first ever virtual summit and saw a huge spike when I sent an email to my mailing list. I definitely could do with growing the list even further.

HUGE bundle giveaways!
The idea here is to amass an irresistible bundle of books by authors who share a genre. Because readers will enter the giveaway (and share with their friends and on social media to gain extra entries) this is a way to skyrocket exposure -- all by donating one electronic (or physical) copy of your book!
I want to test this strategy out, so I'm looking to team up with other indie authors in the Fantasy Romance genre who would like a big boost in exposure.
If you're interested in participating, please email me at info@freeflyingpress.com
Hope to post a follow up with the stats of the giveaway success!
