That's cool! How long have you been a reader now? :D

Anna (glamorouspixels) Some friends from school recommended Fangirl to me because I told them that I'd love to read if books were more like gay fanfiction. I hated this book so much that I didn't even finish it (please don't kill me, I'll try to reread it later this year) but I decided to go to the bookstore again and that's when I picked up Paper Towns, which I didn't enjoy either... xD But after that I got Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, which is still my all-time favourite book and made me love reading :)

Erin | 302 comments I think that I've always been into reading, but that over time my love for reading has grown advance. I remember that my mother read books aloud to my sisters and I and also I love hearing the teachers read books aloud to the class. I think that the book well actually it's more like a series but the Junie B. Jones series. My Kindergarten teacher read them to my class and I just loved them so much. I think that as the years progressed I started being able to read more. When I was in third grade I tried reading so many books at once and that was also when I started reading the first Harry Potter book so at first I hated it because I would skip chapters wanting to get it done faster but then the year after I reread it and I loved it. I started reading so much more but not as many at the same time and I loved reading even more. And then reading pulled me into it's gri[ and held me captive but then it let me free and showed me that reading is not a cage or a prison it's a camp to protect you, a school where you meet friends, an adventure, a place to go when you have to stay in one spot. I began to connect and understand characters and words began to touch me and they taught me things that I wouldn't have learned if I didn't pick up that book. So you see reading and I have had our ups and our dons and I always feel like when I'm in a book slump it's like I just had a fight with a book and that I just gotta work up a way to make the book and the bookworld forgive me. Honestly, I've always loved reading I just didn't like understanding at first but now I love both and books and reading and just everything that has to do with them and everything in between has impacted my whole life. Without books, I honestly don't know how I would have survived. You may think I sound like a spoiled child well actually probably not because your own an account on Goodreads most likely because you love to read and you probably understand in some sort of way. Wow, I feel like I just went on a smallish rant about how good books are. Not really , kinda. Sorry I'm half asleep. Books have helped me grow up without making me loose who I am. They helped me find who I am and with that I am internally grateful. :)

I'm very interested in hearing about your opinion for both of these books :D I've only been reading since April 2016, that's so short compared to you ;-;

That's such a beautiful story, Erin! I love the way you described your relationship with books :)

It doesn't matter how fast you can read as long as you enjoy it :D

Marie O'Malley | 2 comments I used to hate reading. I despised it, loathed it actually. But I was a huge fan of Dungeons and Dragons (I still am). So When I saw my mom reading the book Brisinger (I can't remember how to spell it), by Christopher Paolini, and I saw a dragon on the cover, I decided. "Why not?" Then, I read the whole Inheritance Cycle.
I now love reading (and I am even writing my own novels)!

lacy white (ravensandlace) My grandpa started reading to me when I was extremely young. Because of his influence, reading has been a life long passion of mine. The book that really got me into reading (like where I knew I was never going to give up reading) was the Harry Potter series. It makes my heart so happy.
