I have definitely found new books to read on Novelist, which I occasionally go to to search for someone's unfound book. You can spend untold hours there (partly because the site tends to be buggy and slow...), each click bringing up new lists of books. It's definitely what the kids call "a time suck."

Yeah, I've bought more than a couple books due to queries on here.
