I finally finished part three!

I main problem with this book is (view spoiler)[the fact that I just want it to be done already. If I had read this book when I wasn't so busy, then I think that I would have liked it more. (hide spoiler)]

Citra (view spoiler)[is in a lot of trouble. I don't know how that got the accusation of Citra. I see why they would be looking at her, but there's nothing that makes me clearly think that she did it. I think that the leaders are either being blackmailed, or they are just being rush. Rowan (view spoiler)[I understand why he's saying and doing the things that he is doing, but he's messing everything up. He just needs to shut his mouth and help Citra already. I'm ready for this to end. Though, Rowan's perspectives have been the most interesting. (hide spoiler)]

Wow I don't even know where I am in this book lol My chapter-a-day-keeps-the-dnf-away plan isn't working so well and I think I have read 4 or 5 chapters and am somewhere around 60%.

I really like Scythe Curie at the moment though. It seems like Citra is getting more chapters than Rowan where I am, and I've hardly gotten to see what he is up to or learn anything new about Goddard.

I liked Curie too and found her ideals and style fascinating as well as her advice pretty dead on.

I finished it! And I loved the ending, which surprised me after the first 60% or so of the book.

I agree Trisha (view spoiler)[I'm glad that Scythe Faraday is alive, which is something that I wasn't expecting. But I'm happy that Rowan gets to stay with him, at least for a while. (hide spoiler)]

Citra (view spoiler)[deserved the ring, and I'm glad that she got it. I think that Rowan was too damaged, he changed to much, and I don't think that he would have survived for long if he had had to kill Citra. (hide spoiler)]

I am glad that (view spoiler)[there isn't a book two. I was super happy with how the book ended. Especially when we learned that Rowan was still alive, and that he was doing (in his opinion) something to help the Scythe world. (hide spoiler)]

yay!! I'm so glad you liked the ending too! I know, it was a lot to slog through but the ending kind of pulls it all together

but there actually IS a book 2 :(

Okay! The only reason I'm interested in reading it is because of Rowan.

I made myself read this one until I finished it today and the last 25% of the book was actually really good. I just wish the whole story was that interesting to me. I was under the impression that this was a standalone for some reason, even though "Arc of the Scythe" is something I've seen a million times now. I'd prefer prequels rather than sequels, since I'd like to know more about Volta, Curie, and Faraday.

I like all my loose ends tied up, and with this book I didn't get that. Why do they need scythes to control the population? Just quit reviving everyone and letting them live out multiple lifetimes! I noticed that the synopsis changed, at least under the edition of the book GR added to my shelf, and no longer says that the winner must glean the loser. I'm thinking a lot of people were as annoyed as I was that a pretty major spoiler was given away.

Romance (view spoiler)[ It was completely forced and unnecessary in this story. Especially when he says "I love you" at the end. Uh what?! (hide spoiler)]
