Trisha | 30284 comments Yay!!! Congrats on finishing part 3!!!

I know, it's rough. and I can't even pin point why it's rough (view spoiler)

Farren (mmmcookies) | 857 comments Wow I don't even know where I am in this book lol My chapter-a-day-keeps-the-dnf-away plan isn't working so well and I think I have read 4 or 5 chapters and am somewhere around 60%.

I really like Scythe Curie at the moment though. It seems like Citra is getting more chapters than Rowan where I am, and I've hardly gotten to see what he is up to or learn anything new about Goddard.

Trisha | 30284 comments You can do it, Farren. It will pick up soon.....

I liked Curie too and found her ideals and style fascinating as well as her advice pretty dead on.

Anna (Adventures with a Book Nerd) (bookish_anna) Ya, I haven't picked this one up in a couple of days. :( Maybe I'll get some read tomorrow. :)

Trisha | 30284 comments You can do it Anna!! I know, it's a life sucker lol it just drags but it does get better near the end :)

Anna (Adventures with a Book Nerd) (bookish_anna) I finished it! And I loved the ending, which surprised me after the first 60% or so of the book.

I agree Trisha (view spoiler)

Citra (view spoiler)

I am glad that (view spoiler)

yay!! I'm so glad you liked the ending too! I know, it was a lot to slog through but the ending kind of pulls it all together

but there actually IS a book 2 :(
I don't know that I'll be reading it....

Thunderhead (Arc of a Scythe, #2) by Neal Shusterman

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments I've been reading your posts so I've decided to pull out of the one since I'm so behind!

Oh, I don't know. I might read it, but it will probably be low on my TBR.

Okay, Vicki!

Trisha | 30284 comments Yay!! I'll be watching reviews so if you get it to reading it, let me know how it is! I don't really want to read it unless I know it's pretty good :)

Okay! The only reason I'm interested in reading it is because of Rowan.

Farren (mmmcookies) | 857 comments I made myself read this one until I finished it today and the last 25% of the book was actually really good. I just wish the whole story was that interesting to me. I was under the impression that this was a standalone for some reason, even though "Arc of the Scythe" is something I've seen a million times now. I'd prefer prequels rather than sequels, since I'd like to know more about Volta, Curie, and Faraday.

I like all my loose ends tied up, and with this book I didn't get that. Why do they need scythes to control the population? Just quit reviving everyone and letting them live out multiple lifetimes! I noticed that the synopsis changed, at least under the edition of the book GR added to my shelf, and no longer says that the winner must glean the loser. I'm thinking a lot of people were as annoyed as I was that a pretty major spoiler was given away.

Romance (view spoiler)

Faraday (view spoiler)

I didn't think of that! (view spoiler)
