Why did Levi make out with the girl at the party?

I loved fangirl but I just couldn't understand why Levi did that! He never really explained why it made me so mad! I know he apologized but it made no sense to me! Could someone explain it to me?
Maybe he was frustrated with trying to get Cath to call or text him. Since she was not replying. And so in turn he probably got a little pissed and defensive. Then he probably continued to drink and made some wrong life choices and kissed that girl.
It definitely was not the greatest Levi moment. Stupid kitchen kissing girl.. :(

Maybe because Levi was a corrupt dumbo back then and once he got to his senses he apoligizes #nodrinking!!
