martin eden I'm currently reading lots of books on dyslexia to help my 8-year-old daughter. It's even hard for me to concentrate on The Graveyard Book!

Rima Ben Hammadi | 32 comments i've just finished the time traveler's wife and I like it so much that I can't pick another book. I got my eyes on Catch-22 by Joseph Heller. did any of you guys read it ?

martin eden I'm currently reading different books:
Horrible Words: A Guide to the Misuse of English for our BOTM, and I'm really enjoying it.
The Kite Runner, this one is really hard psychologically. It's very well written but I'm not really enjoying the story, too much sadness, meanness, evil for me. But I want to finish it.
Tell the Wolves I'm Home, heartbreaking!
And I'm trying again this collection of poems Les Fleurs du Mal. And it's still the same, I don't like it!

Barbara (cinnabarb) I'm reading The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well The Little Book of Hygge The Danish Way to Live Well by Meik Wiking by Meik Wiking (actually listening to the audiobook, read by the author)

Hygge, which originated in Denmark, is the art of being happy. The author's profession is to study what makes people happy....and he explains it all in this book. With recipes and everything. :)

Sounds really interesting!

I'm currently reading The Story of Be: A Verb's-Eye View of the English Language. A really interesting book about that small but so important verb!
I'm still reading Tell the Wolves I'm Home.
And yesterday, I started a play Et les chiens se taisaient, it's about slavery in the French colonies.

I've just finished The Heart is a Lonely Hunter that I really loved. Carson McCullers is really surprising! Her writing style sounds so peaceful but actually translates tension and drama. And she talks about lonelisness like nobody!

Shevella (hummingbird14) | 170 comments I just finished The Time Between. It was a good summer read set in coastal South Carolina. I'm now listening to The Couple Next Door. I'm about a quarter of the way through and its holding my attention so far.
